Briand Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Nate Mackinnon. 'Nuff said. It would be something if St Patrick could lead the team to the cup in his rookie season as coach. As he did in his rookies as habs goalie and the memorial cup. I can't think of a player or coach who has had that much success I in his frist seasons anywhere he goes
ogus Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 May your team win today especially the Bruins and may all things private remain so
GernBlansten Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Nate Mackinnon. 'Nuff said. Incredible talent for a 19yr old kid playing against men. Insane to think what he'll be like in a couple of years (think John Tavares, IMO). 2 games down i say sweep on the Wild. go Avs! Don't wanna agree, but do. The Wild have had a hot mess in the nets this season. Hope they start Keumper for game 3. ...and may all things private remain so Almost snorted my beverage on that one. Well played!
ptrthgr8 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 ptrthgr8 My Bruins played wickid pissah but your Wings played friggin awesome yo Your boys showed up to play today, that's for damned certain. Of course, Howard is a mediocre at best netminder and he certainly didn't do us any favors... but the Wings got schooled today. Still, though, I'll take the split in Beantown. Game #3 on Tuesday will be most interesting. Cheers, Greg Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 1
ogus Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Hey don't talk smack about Howard. He was the Boston MVP. Not often a goalie can make assists. 1
Hubba Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Habs had a great start last night.......able to hang on in the last minutes. What an atmosphere in that building.
ptrthgr8 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Habs had a great start last night.......able to hang on in the last minutes. What an atmosphere in that building. Especially when the rookie French Canadian ref calls off an obviously good goal. Interesting that, eh? LOL
Hubba Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Especially when the rookie French Canadian ref calls off an obviously good goal. Interesting that, eh? LOL Clearly interference?. It was broken down well last night by Ron Maclean...doesn't really matter that PK wasn't really allowing him to get out of the net, fact was he was still in the crease obstructing Price. Price did a great job selling that and knew to move in Killorns direction. Almost as smart as when Price "lost his skate edge" and had to go see the trainer when the current Habs line on the ice were huffing and puffing and had to stay on.?Love it. I truly hope the Wings can knock off the Bs....i truly dislike that team.
ptrthgr8 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Looks like that might need to be one of those rules that gets reviewed at the GM meeting in the off-season since it's so completely stupid in this instance. Subban (or whichever Hab it was) knocked Killorn into the net. Is he really expected to stay in the net until the play is over? Because that's what he would need to do in order to avoid going back into the blue paint. Habs put him in there, so he should be allowed to get out. If anything Price should have been called for interference since he was intentionally making contact with the guy who was trying to get out of the net. Can you imagine what would have happened at Bell Centre if that ref would have made that call? LOL If anything, it was a crappy call to actually make. That ref had all the opportunity in the world to make that call while it was happening, but he conveniently waited until a bit after the puck had gone into the net. I don't think there's any sort of general conspiracy going on to help the Habs, but I do think that one particular ref (rookie French Canadian in only the second playoff game of his young career) and in that particular venue (crowd intensity much?) made it too much for that dude to allow the goal. You have to wonder if any of the more experienced refs would have let it be. And I would *love* for Detroit to beat Boston. Realistically I don't think Detroit has the depth to beat Boston in a 7 game series (and Howard is simply not a Stanley Cup caliber netminder), but at this point I think Detroit's just playing with house money anyhow. The biggest goal of the season was to get to the post-season, so at this point all of the pressure is on Boston.
Cmontoya79 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Let's go Sharks!!! This is by far the most talented squad they've put forth in the playoffs. They're tough and can score on all lines. Goalies are solid in Niemi and Stallock. I'd love to see my boys make the final and put on a good show in 7. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hubba Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Rule needs to be revisited, no question.....in the meantime....GO HABS GO!! 1

SaintLuis Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Looking forward to finishing off the wings by this Saturday, and then tearing into the habs. Even with their diving and apologist refereeing, the B's should trounce them.
