Jeremy Festa Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Questionable post, but it might coax some of the others to check this thread?
Jeremy Festa Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Saw this a while ago. Not sure I shared it or not? Christie's auction house, cashing in on some skateboard cool http://youtu.be/MWj5wYO8kkI AWOLNATION tune is very fitting.
fabes Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Terrific line by Jordan Hoffart http://youtu.be/SJ5hmPA9hdc Epic boardslide! Saw those rails under his board and was like ??? Now it all makes sense.
SofaKing Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Snowboarding since 1991. Nice videos in the previous posts!
Bill Hayes Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Watched most of the Tahiti Pro at Teahupo'o. As Kelly said, "best surfing comp ever". The semi match up between John John and Kelly was the best 30mins of big wave paddle in surfing I've seen. A little disappointed though with Medina using positioning tactics on such an epic day. But he stood up in the end. Seemed almost like a changing of the guard as the young bull took over from the old bull. If only Kelly hadn't been sucked too far inside on that second last wave in the final and we wouldn't have just seen another 10 point ride from Kelly but quite possibly the best finish to a final ever and one the best waves ever. He just got clipped by the foam ball on exit - just a matter of a couple of metres really. On the wish list would be to sit in the channel one year at that comp and combine some diving and fishing in the holiday mix. 1
Jeremy Festa Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Been a while! I got a new downhill board the other day. And since I live 800metres uphill from where I work, I let gravity take me there. Going home sucks, but is offset by the excitement of "going home." Anyway, watch this... FULL SCREEN (2:25)
cdfarrar Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I've done my share of skateboarding(started in the early 70's) and moved on to surfing, mostly on the east coast of the US. Lucky enough to be relocated(work) to the island of Oahu(where surfing was born). Surfing is King here and like no other place on earth. It is also the home to some of the best surfing spots in the world. Sunset,Pipeline(Banzai),Log Cabins are crazy and for the experienced only, now if the swells are rolling head on down to Waimea there you are going to see 30 to 50 foot faces and likely your maker(never surfed it when it was over 15' faces). I lived a 5 minute walk from Waikiki beach and enjoy surfing everyday, never a bad run-in with the haoles(locals) but on the north shore your likely to get your ass beat if you do any shoulder humping. Have seen some incredible surf(50'+faces that made the ground move under your feet when it broke) and and met a bunch of great people there in my 9 years on the island, way to much to list, but enjoyed every second.

cigardude Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I surfed and skateboarded a lot through my teen years while living on Sydneys northern beaches (Curl Curl, DeeWhy, Collaroy) but obviously haven't done a lot since moving to Toronto, now I snowboard and still skateboard a bit with my son and dog. 2
