Smallclub Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 like bumpy and hairy/fuzzy? No, more like suffering from smallpox…
Habana Mike Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 The sandpaper wrapper is usually an indication of non-cuban origin, mainly Nicaraguan Well, there is that old rumour floating around that Nic tobacco may be used in Habanos from time to time
StingMeadery Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I recently purchased two boxes of Monte Petit Edmundos from the same legit vendor, and the color difference between the two boxes were pretty darn significant. The one on the right almost looks maduro to me. Funny thing is they both have exactly the same box codes too. So I guess the moral of the story is to not judge a cigar by its wrapper. The box on the right looks like a hand picked PSP grade from Czar's
RijkdeGooier Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Well, there is that old rumour floating around that Nic tobacco may be used in Habanos from time to time You may read Portmann novels But I was wondering about the Hoyo EL 2007, those ashes are just typical NC too. Plus I find the taste not conform the Hoyo profile at all.
