Matthew and I have found off cigars in both new and old boxes. We are not experienced enough to say whether this is because of a sick period or not. Usually two issues cause us to pitch the sticks. Not enough smoke (we say "I am not getting anything out of it"). Or taste (we say "this tastes like crap".)

We then pitch them and choose two replacements.

When you are as fancy-shmancy and elegant as we are, words like crap, this one rocks, I am in heaven, yuck, you should try mine, tastes like cow poop etc. are our /100 system. Try it!

Oh and the a lot of the "problem" years haven't been much of a problem for myself.
