I'm a DE fan and have smoked plenty of older No 9's and T52's and none age well. Even Steve Saka says you need to smoke them within 2 years or they lose the desired flavors. This is true with all of the special lines as well, Dirty Rats, L40, FFP, etc. I've smoked a few OR Dirty Rats and they are terrible. They taste nothing like they should.

IMO. That's a horrible strategy. Cigars that lose their flavours after two years? Count me out. Even the lowly Quinteros cigars age decently. It seems like DE is aiming to create a new generation of chain smokers. I don't smoke daily, but if I did. I would not be reaching for the same brand of cigars on a daily basis. I like to round robin my selections so I get a lot of variety and allow my stock to age across the board. With that said, they seem to be very successful, so what do I know? :P
