coug28 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 We've all seen the "if you only had one smoke for the rest of your lives, what would it be" threads. I'm sure this one has been done to some extent as well, but playing with some variables here....lets assume that whatever marca you choose, all the smokes that we're ever available would be at your smoking disposal. Including any limited, regional and also now discontinued cigars. Changes things a little I'd guess. So you can only choose ONE marca, but would have access to that entire portfolio to smoke as you so choose. What's your pleasure? Feel free to elaborate as much or as little as you'd like with your response.
HarveyBoulevard Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Partagas. While I do enjoy a variety of different marcas, Partagas has all the vitolas I could ask for and enough variety of flavor profiles to keep it interesting. From aged Parti Lusi's to yard gars like the Mille Fleur, there is a cigar for every mood.
shlomo Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Bolivar if it includes discontinued and limited stuff. Punch a close second if discontinued stuff. If not, still Bolivar, but Monte a close second. 1
dangolf18 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Cohiba or Bolivar (don't care for BBF, BRC, or BCG, but Boli regionals are the bomb).
PapaDisco Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I'd have to go Hoyo or Partagas, despite the fact that my preferred stick lies elsewhere, but in terms of a comprehensive and enjoyable portfolio from PC to Churchill either of these two marcas would do. I have my fair share of Cohibas, but they have too many fodder flavors for my liking. Bolivar's got too many macho-bite-you-in-the-ass cigars (maybe I've been smoking them wrong? ) and Monte's are enjoyable but don't grab me the way they do others. R&J is too uneven across the menu imho, and H Upmann always tastes like it needs more years regardless of the stick's age. The other marcas I don't know well enough to criticize in such an off handed manner. 1
zmancbr Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Upmann. The newer upmann stock is killer and I can't stop smoking through my stash. A close second would be RA or partagas.
Stanislaw Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Montecristo.... Even with the consistency issues.... Perfect all the time can be boring.... 1
hebbe72 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 If the desision includes all the discontinued cigars; Partagas without a doubt. Lonsdales, charlotes etc....
Pedro2486 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Based on my somewhat limited experience of what I've smoked and really enjoyed I would say Cohiba. But based on my recent samples I need to go deeper with HdM
subport Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Well it is not straight forward for me. Really could say 3 marcas but let's just pick up Partagas today then I have all the vitolas I mostly smoke. It should have been a poll to see the results atthe end
hdryder Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Its a toss up between Partagas & RA for me but I think I would lean more to Partagas due to the variety of vitolas available
laficion Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 S.L.R. or R.A. sImply because they have the right taste . Mine !!!!!
polarbear Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Ramon Allones Love the profile and there have been so many regionals I'd have plenty of vitolas to choose from
Carpenter69 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Ramon Allones Love the profile and there have been so many regionals I'd have plenty of vitolas to choose from Couldn't have said it better. RA all the way!
FLB03TT Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Bolivar. I already knew the answer, but as a test I looked thru the Humi w/ 10 different CC Marca represented. Proceeded to start eliminating Marca until I was down to my Bolis. This process confirmed my initial thoughts.
