Just did a quick search for any hoop related threads and came up bust.

There must be plenty of NBA fans on here, so, let's talk... it's getting to the business end of the season now.

  • Team supported? Indiana.
  • Why? Fell in love love with Chuck Person and Reggie Miller when every other kid was Jordan and Pippen. Living in Australia in the late 80's early 90's the Bulls were all we heard about and this meant seeking out an underdog... Now who's laughing biggrin.png I just hope Bynum and Turner don't mess with the team chemistry over the next few months as the Pacers appear the only team to be able to match it with the Heat in my opinion.

Anyway, if you have anything to say about anything NBA related, do so here I guess.

It's been a fascinating season, looking forward to the playoffs. My team - Warriors Why - spellbound since the run tmc days

Indiana gave the Miami hell last year. Celtics are my team. I'm hoping both the us and the 76ers tank for some drafting. Id like to see a Pacers/Thunder final with pacers taking it.

I'm a Sixer's fan as well. When you're born and raised in the area, that's the only reason you need to go in deep on all Philly teams. I like what they're doing this year. 1- They need to get Andr

Yup im a NBA nutter, fantasy baller, and Jordan vs Lebron fighter.

Team supported: TWolves & Miami

Why: Jordan sparked my interest in basketball. 1990's was a nutty time for basketball in Australia. Every kid was playing, and hooked to Saturday morning games on ch.10. Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaq were the big guys with game. Joe Dumars was still the guy you loved to hate (the Derrick Fisher of yore). Remember Grant Hill and Anfernee Hardaway?

Just to set the record straight: Jordan was significantly more pivotal a player to the development of the game. Lebron would clean Jordan up.

My wife was infatuated with Tim Hardaway in 1993... Now his son is on the scene, I can't win.

Started watching as a Sonics fan with Payton and Kemp. I always liked David Robinson though, and when they drafted Duncan in 97 I was a spurs fan for life. I used to be a sport card collector and have tons of Duncan's cards, autographs, etc...

I liked LeBron when he was in Cleveland as well. He is the best. End of story, but I hate "the decision" and can't stand him any more.

As a lifelong Sixers fan, the team they are putting out on the court is embarrassing. When you are getting blown out by 20+ points at home to the Milwaukee Bucks, you know you are tanking. Here's to getting a top lottery pick in this year's draft. On a plus note, Nerlons Noel is scheduled to make his debut shortly and I am interested to see what he has to offer. With him, Carter Williams, and whoever they select with this years draft pick, they have a nice young core of players...only time will tell if they can play in the NBA.

On a side note, saw that Bynum suited up for the Pacers last night and had 8 points and 10 rebounds. He was more productive in one game with the Pacers than he was for the entire time he was a Sixer last year.

What are your thoughts on Brett Brown? He was a keen servant to local Australian basketball and I wish him nothing but the best in the NBA. I think you guys have shown glimpses this year and have a decent core of youth talent. Roll on 2014/15 I guess...

I like what they're doing this year.

1- They need to get Andrew "Maple Jordan" Wiggins.

2- They have the Pelicans 1st round pick this year

3- Nerlens Noel needs to sit down and not interfere with the plan and get ready for next year.

4- Sixer's own approximately 1/4 of the 2nd round picks this year.

5- Wiggins again!

Wow...more NBA fans in Oz than in the states!

Even when Lebron was in Cleveland I didn't watch that much...

NBA is like watching a game at Rucker Park between a bunch of street ballers...

I think he was put in an extremely difficult situation in his first year. He inherited a young team, devoid of stars and talent and the win-loss record showed it. Then they traded away all their marketable players to gain picks and move to a youth movement which I agree with 100%. Give them a few years to gel and for some of the other Eastern Conference teams to get older and I think they will be respectable again in 2-3 years.

Brown will be fine, I believe he comes from Greg Popovich's stable of coaches at San Antonio. Anyone learning from Pop is going to know how to run a team.

I thought I heard on the radio yesterday that with all their pics and few veterans, they have the chance to field the youngest team ever in 2014-2015. I agree with you, I like the youth movement and the pics. I think Carter-Williams will develop into a serviceable point guard. If they can land Wiggins as a swing man and Noel can put on weight, that is not a bad young core to develop around.

The whole plan was Noel to use this season to refine his skills. Code for we're tanking so let's not rush him back before he puts on 30lbs and have him ruin our tanking.

My team: Denver Nuggets

Why: My grandfather grew up loving basketball and he was born and raised in CO. The nuggets became the team he loved along with the Broncos. So I grew up watching the nuggets with him, and despite us never having played for a championship, I still love the nuggs and will always be a nuggets fan!

Portland Trailblazers fan now because I can go to games often, grew up a Cavaliers fan but they're hard to follow on this side of the country. Really I'll watch any game that's on.

I'm a basketball junkie so I can't wait for March Madness.

BTW... someone said something about Wiggins?? He's not made for the NBA, Parker will be a star though.

Doesn't Boston get 76ers 1 round next year after the 3 team trade done earlier this year?

Love the NBA. Recently back from 2 weeks in the USA, went to 4 NBA games and a couple of college games. Got to see Heat @ Clippers. Wow! Lebron and Blake Griffin put on an impressive show.

Knicks were my team when I first got into NBA back in the 80s but there is little to be excited about as a Knicks fan lately...the last 10 years. Now with League Pass and access to every game played I find I will just watch the in form teams and the great players rather than follow a single team. I like to bet on the NBA so there is always a team that I will cheer for.
