Recovering from a flu but will be on soon with pictures, videos and news. Here's a start, sunrise from my apartment. I meant to get this last year but my phone was robbed. Managed to hang onto it this year but not for lack of trying to lose it. Music by La Lupe and fits the entire trip perfectly. 2

I ran into a few American 'people-to-people' tour groups, everyone I talked to was taken aback by how friendly Cubans were towards them. Some in tears telling me their stories. So, yes.

stogieluver Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 My wife and I went on one of the people to people trips about a year an a half ago. I was amazed at how friendly the Cuban people were to us, moreso in Havana than in the smaller towns. I was told the reason for this is that the people in Havana have more news resources than those in the small towns and that the small towns only get state controlled news and the government blames all problems on the American embargo. But we never, not once, were made to feel unwelcome or unsafe.
