drockspang1 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Edit to above post(can't figure out how to on my phone?): "...to be said about smoking slower & flavor" not flavor & flavor...
frenchkiwi Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Thinking about it I hardly ever relight :S I smoke /draw very slowly and shallow. In fact, doubly thinking about it when I smoked quicker (going back 4 or 5 years now) I remember lots of relights. Maybe it's something similar to getting a fire going from an ember; big poofs and you loose it, slow and steady gets the flames My last DC took around 4 hours lol You're certainly gettin good value for money Capitano lol i'm not a fast and furious smoker so a little over an hour. but when watching sports and getting edgy? probably well under an hour!!! Same goes for the drinking.
tippexx Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Hour to hour 15 minutes. Same .... usually 1 minute between puffs.
SaintLuis Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Edit to above post(can't figure out how to on my phone?): "...to be said about smoking slower & flavor" not flavor & flavor... I have the same issue on my phone. Can't always post either...
bigharpoon Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 About an hour and a half for me. Faster than an hour and 15 or so and I get all kinds of bitter flavors and funky burns and hot smoke. Yick.
mikek Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 An hour to an hour fifteen but I go down untill I either cant hold it or it get's hot.
sighuber Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 90 - 105 minutes indoors. 60 - 90 outdoors. some of u smoke very quickly! I agree with Schlomo. I find a big difference between smoking time indoors vs outdoors.
dangolf18 Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I agree with Schlomo. I find a big difference between smoking time indoors vs outdoors. Poor SCHlomo haha.
backslide Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 1.5 - 1.75 hours here. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 1
Ptowncigar Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 An hour or so. I usually toss it somewhere around the band.
FetaBoy Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 90 minutes, EASY. The minute that thing gets hot and closes up shop flavor-wise (for me), it's a sign to slow down. Like some have said, smoking in a rush defeats the purpose. HUHC 50 PC 60+ 1
Maplepie Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 90 min ±15 Unless it's a short churchill T. Then I'd say 15 minutes ±15. Sent from my BlackBerry Q10 using Tapatalk for Android.
Dozerhead Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I've noticed over the years that I smoke faster then most. Actually, I can't remember a time when someone finished before me on the same cigar/vitola...and I generally nub them. Now because I don't remember it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. And except for a plain ole shitty cigar, Ive never had a problem enjoying one. For a Robusto, I'd say the avg for me is about 40 min, depending on the stick(CoRo seems to take a bit longer for me, say maybe 50 min? While RASS & PSD4 are pretty even...40min. My point is about a year or so ago I was smoking a HU Connie 1(I know they are a Hermosos# 4) which is usually for me a 30min smoke tops. I was working and was pulled away from the cigar for 2-3 minutes...I was maybe just into the second 3rd...and when I came back to it, it hadn't burnt out and was actually still able to draw a good amount of smoke, which was VERY flavorful. I was really amazed at how much of a difference in flavor there was, simply by letting the cigar "cool" down(correct term?). It's given me cause to try & slooooow down a little bit. I do have to remind myself quite often though... Also, I smoke by myself a lot. If I'm with people, I tend to take a bit longer. But there is something to be said about flavor & flavor. My 2 cents That's funny because this is pretty much me to a tee. I've traditionally been a fast smoker, as well. The last several years I have made a concious effort to slow things down when I am smoking, and while I've always enjoyed my cigars before, the difference was amazing. While I may not have as refined a palate as some, but I was able to discern a lot more flavors when I took my time.
Wallbright Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 It depends on the robusto. For me a Quintero Favorito smokes for a different amount of time than a PSD4. I suppose on average a robusto takes me around an hour and a half if not longer but I smoke slower than average it seems.
Moogypug Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 It usually takes me a little over an hour to enjoy a robusto. Any length shorter than that kills the flavor for me.
FalseCast Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 75-90 minutes depending on the cigar. Any faster and I don't enjoy it.
SteveGriff Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 An hour or so to an hour fifteen minutes. Depends on a number of factors, If I'm outside, how packed is the Cigar, how wet the stogie is, am I paying attention etc. etc.
dicko Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 45 minutes (depends on the cigar construction, wind etc of course)
Jnaube Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 30 to 40 minutes max. I've always been a quick smoker.
madmarvcr Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 45 to 60 mins for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TypicalSituation Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I'm usually in the 90 minute range. I don't feel like a slow smoker, and rarely require a relight. Heck, petit coronas last me 75 minutes.
Pilgrims Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 40-45 as often Robusto is an "outdoor whilst doing something" smoke - horse racing, golf etc - smoke so it goes a little quicker...
