GnarlyEggs Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 About an hour here, sometimes a little more or less. Who said 15 minutes??
p4gtr Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 depends on how bad it tastes. Hopefully a lot less time now that I landed here on FOH.
OZCUBAN Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Usually about 40 to 45 tops have done some in 30 though
fingerburner Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 75 to 90 mins for me. 30mins... must have some serious "tongue bite" the morning after.
kuzi16 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 i am a very slow smoker. 1:45 for a robusto is about right. sometimes longer if it is a stronger cigar. i like to put my cigar down for a while especially if i am reading or typing. ill often forget it for 2-3 minutes. just puff enough to keep it alive. I also draw very gently on cigars. not really sure if that does anything as far as time is concerned but it makes me feel good. 1
nikosdoc Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Just above 45min, to an hour. It may depend on the flavor profile also, upmann's tend to the 45 mark, RC and D4 to the hour.
godpheonix Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 its mostly an hour and a half for me, if the conditions of weather and cigar are just right. i like to savor the flavors as much as possible so i'm not puffing away on it like i'm running out of time! LOL
BRAC Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 75 min if I'm paying attention. 90 min or more if I'm not. I smoked them in 45 - 60 min when I first started about 4 years ago.
Murri Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 At least an hour, sometimes 15 minutes more. I don't know how he did one in 30 minutes?, a Partagas short will get me 45 minutes of smoking time. About the same for me. Never been a fast smoker.
Fumadoro Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 There is no way I could finish a robusto in under 45 minutes. My normal time is ~1.25 hours, but if I am really relishing my time with the cigar I could make it last 2 hours.
Smokin_Safari Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 As long I can make it last and escape from everyone!
MatthewB Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Around the 1 hr mark. Smoking solo I can cut it to 45min
amosnaim Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 About a hour and fifteen minutes. To me, smoking fast doesn't bring out the flavors, and make the cigar hot
BigWill Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 A robusto lasts me around 45-50 minutes usually. If it starts to burn a little hot then I may slow down a little.
HabanoHam Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I smoke very slow , so usually a 5 x 50ish lasts me around an hr and a half.
JohnnyNorth Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I gotta agree. Takes me an hour and a half to smoke a CoRo. Same for me. Just smoked a beautiful 2010 D4. Smoking time 1h 30min. Especially i like to keep fullbody cigars nice and cool.
Bclass1 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 For those that take 75mins+ to smoke a robusto, how is it possible to find time for larger smokes? Now, I'm not talking DC's here, but say a Churchill or even Corona sized cigar. To each his own, and I think smoking slowly is key... But I wonder as some of you take close to 2 hrs how an even bigger smoke is possible, or is the normal day to day cigar generally smaller in size.. Eg: shorts, PC's, etc.
