subport Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Somewhere an hour to hour and half...depends on lot of things
SirenJockey Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 ^ Same - an hour to hour and a half. Only really goes longer if I go searching for another scotch bottle. 1
Philprop Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Usually an hour to an hour and 15 for me as well. If I'm in a pinch for time I can cut it down to 45. I met a BOTL who was here for a work contract who was like your mate El Prez, smoked very quickly. Smoked something(can't remember what exactly) the size of a Monte 2 quicker than I smoked a Petit Edmundo. He also taught me that it's ok to cut a cigar more than once throughout the smoke. Now when I yin a cigar starting to get a bit harsh and bitter, I snip off a bit more of the head and puff away for a bit longer. Sometimes it helps sometimes not.
CaptainQuintero Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Two hours :s A PC lasts me a good hour at least
Pedro2486 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 60-90 mins usually for shorter robustos and a bit more for longer. Can be much longer though. A friend and I celebrated his 30th the other day with a Magicos (his fave. Good box from Rob) he say there loving it for nearly two hours
Blueracer Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 60-90 mins for myself. Closer to 60 if I'm really enjoying it. But typically if I have the time I try not to rush.
KoreanCowboy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Generally a solid hour for me. Anything over that on a robusto and I start getting a little bored.
Sophistic Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 40-80mins, depends mostly on how properly filled the cigar is. Partagas D4s usually around 40mins, Bolivar RCs more like 80.
backslide Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 About 1hr 15min to 1hr 30 min for me. Ditto. Sent from my Nexus 4
Chargerfan Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 1-1.25 hours. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
PapaDisco Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 How the heck do you 2 hour guys keep a robusto smoldering that long? Lots of relights?
cigaraholic Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I'm right at 1 hr depending how they're rolled. I try and smoke robustos as slowly as possible, I think they overheat very easily. 30 minutes.....that's a blowtorch....
Oscar300 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 An hour. I have seen grown men go very green wolfing down cigars to fast
Bunner Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 im about an hour. friend of mine hauled down a churchill in an hour!!!.... no lie. It was a crappy panama red NC but still i got sick watching him smoke it. I should mention he had a few drinks hahaha
CigarB Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Takes me about an hour and fifteen minutes. I always seem to be behind guys I smoke with, but seems about normal from the poll results. 1
Armaniac Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 My friends think I'm a fast smoker but it takes me about an hour and fifteen minutes.
liger930 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 cigar time has centererd mostly around the grill lately...setting up the grill, cooking, and serve time runs about 45min...perfect slot for a robusto.
Lotusguy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 30 Minutes = I would utterly discount anything that person ever had to say about flavors and taste of a cigar
CaptainQuintero Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 How the heck do you 2 hour guys keep a robusto smoldering that long? Lots of relights? Thinking about it I hardly ever relight :S I smoke /draw very slowly and shallow. In fact, doubly thinking about it when I smoked quicker (going back 4 or 5 years now) I remember lots of relights. Maybe it's something similar to getting a fire going from an ember; big poofs and you loose it, slow and steady gets the flames My last DC took around 4 hours lol
Troels Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 70-90 min., keep them at 68-70 rh, tend to double puff rather often
Cohiba Stevie Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 45 mins typically but given that most of my smoking is done in a colder climate I probably puff more than I would actually prefer. Over an hour if it was indoors or in a nice climate.
