Troels Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I have a sort of shed - its got a roof and a back wall, nothing in front or on the sides though. Flor is half a meter under ground, so it does shelter me. Considering adding wall, made from old Windows. Would be a bit like an old style green house
Brickhouse Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nothing indoors at the moment, and I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future. However, I do like seeing what others have. Nice.
DWC Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I smoke inside my house. Nice leather chair next to the woodstove. I live alone with my two old perpetually shedding dogs. And I heat exclusively with wood, so between the dogs and the wood the cigar smell is a welcome distraction. I'm never going to be on the cover of 'Homes and Gardens' magazine, but it's mine and I like it. Once it warms up though, I like to smoke in the gazebo on the back deck. Some years ago, the first time I heard the expression 'man cave' I asked my visiting daughter if my work shop was a man cave. She laughed and said "Dad, your whole house is a man cave" I guess between the antique oak furniture, hunting trophies on the wall, the gun collection, cigar and old pyro paraphernalia she's right. My girlfriend will smoke with me on occasion, so it's cool to smoke inside at her place too. I guess I'm really blessed! 1
Havanaaddict Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Smoke cleared by a 1100 CFM fan mounted in the ceiling How loud does that get? It is going to depend on where the fan is!!! Mine is in the center of the room flush to the ceiling 6.0 is really not that loud for my room 11x11x9 it really becomes background noise. My fan changes the air in the room completey once every min. I take a puff and blow it out and you only see the smoke for about maybe 10 sec. and its gone. 1
TiminBC Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Top set up! I need to figure out something that agrees with my renting terms. I'm thinking welding two empty oil barrels together into one big tube, cut a door into it, a mouth hole and attach two wide flexible hoses for my arms... there has to be allot of old phone booths available :} 1

I have a room in the garage in going to vent, but am unsure how to keep the room warm enough while venting it out.
AndrewNR Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Where does your fresh air come from? Suitable foam or steel wool. Like an air cleaner from a car almost but for some level of flow control/insulation.
PapaDisco Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 For quiet, high volume extraction I've had very good luck with Fantech remote, inline blowers. You can locate the fan motor quite some way away from the intake duct (attic, under floor, utility room etc.) and it will move 1,000-5,000CFM quickly and quietly. It's harder to install in a small place like Aye "Two Sheds" Patz's simply because there's no place to hide the fan, but if you've got a room in your house it's ideal. Your goal for a smoking room in your house is to create a small negative pressure in the smoking room so that house air only flows into it, never out of it, and for that you'll need to move a lot of air particularly if your household furnace is running. 1

HarveyBoulevard Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The plus side of living in Southern California is that you can smoke outside virtually 365 days a year...the down side is that you have to buy enough cigars to smoke outside 365 days a year. Very nice setups gentlemen! 1

danielmgibbs Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 UK is freezing so built this last year. behind the mirror is a stud wall hiding the garage door Not fancy but comfy. much appreciation to my father in law who did all the electrics and threaded the surround sound cables inside the walls and under the floor...legend! 1
danielmgibbs Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Oh and i whacked a big fridge freezer in the corner you cant see so i could fill it with beer...nice!
Guest Robo Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Here's my den, outdoors of course! Ha ha. The tall heater's sole purpose is to heat the smoking hand (doesn't always work). The heating pad on the chair works wonders.

Guest Robo Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 whoa, you got a lot of faith in that chair to hold your lap top so precariously, you must not have kids or a cat/dog, otherwise smashy I lost my fear of crashing my laptop after my 15 month old son smashed it from his high chair to the ceramic floor below. There's a small dent on the corner but otherwise work fine. Solid little machines, and with no moving parts, can take a beating. Oh, and ash-proof too.
