karmaz00 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Discontinued? I bloody hope not! sorry meant to say CE I thnk they were in 2012, but has already been said, changed answer, but stay in the same brand
Guest Robo Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Haha I think this is hilarious, simply because I had the EXACT same question during a previous thread like this. Someone said only a marque (no vitola name), I later named a specific cigar in that marque (as it hadn't yet been named), and that person then shortly thereafter changed their answer to match mine. I was extremely disappointed at that person's actions, but I didn't see a point in raising a fuss - is it really worth it to be dishonest and change your answer just to win a single cigar, and by extension, is it really worth it to raise a stink about a friendly competition? I trust in karma, and I know dishonesty will always come back to haunt those who indulge it. This all said - I didn't change my answer in this one. It was Monarcas from the start. I even made a second guess of Hoyo Churchills later in the thread after my first one was wrong, as I saw Rob's post saying we'd all be wrong thus far! Either way, apology accepted. I'm certainly not perfect, but I think everyone who knows me (thanks for having my back, rckymtn22), knows what I stand for.Haha, thanks Lisa......I think ? LOL. I'm a competitve guy for sure! Just not a dishonest one...... Sorry CS. I must have made a mistake when reading thru the answers 'cause normally I wouldn't give an answer to something that's already guessed. Just to be clear, it was not my intention to question your integrity, although I can see how this may have been interpreted. For this reason I apologize. I think that's it's interesting that you've had the same issue in a previous topic and that you were also extremely disappointed. It's probably an issue that needs to be raised and addressed to avoid any future disappointments. To that end, I do think it is worth it to raise the issue and hopefully improve a process to make it fair for all the people involved. Sincerely, Rob PS: Am I allowed to make a second guess now?
Guest rob Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Sheesh, we're not playing for sheep stations, folks.
dubleuhb Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 HU Super Corona If you feel the need to keep it fair so no one can go back and change their guess then just quote the guess previous, can't change that. EDIT; Dangnabbit, i missed someone guessed this already, back to the drawing board.
garbandz Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 San Cristobal Mercenares Classic !!! ROFLMAO.........
ChanceSchmerr Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Sorry CS. Rob, No worries, dude - I didn't take it personally, I figured you just missed my initial guess. No need to apologize again. And yeah - I think it's pretty sad and pathetic that guys might feel the need to change their answer after others below them have already posted the same thing first. It's not like we have a major massive prize on the line for this. It's a fun little competition, let's keep it that way, without cheating or foul play.
mk05 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I thought the decade of service was talking about Simon "Trinidad" Bolivar depicting his military service and role as a revolutionary.
Squarehead Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Classic !!! ROFLMAO......... Ok so I misspelled it,what's the big deal?
CaptainQuintero Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I thought the decade of service was talking about Kenny "SLR" Gargett depicting his deck service and role as a revolutionary moderator. The 10 year FOH anni is soon, custom celebratory cigars in the works? A short robusto maybe? Don Gargett's "Bon tu Ron" a special edition cigar.
El Presidente Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Some absolutely great answers but let's revisit the question: "I was in service for more than a decade and steeped in the traditions of revolution. From Sydney to Saigon, Madrid to Montreal you could find me. I was front of house, the one you would seek out. Many did. Smooth and increasingly rich over time I could do no wrong. ..and yet I was discontinued not long ago. Firstly I feel a little guilty (don't get excited....just a little) as it is not a cigar. keeping that in mind I will run this until tomorrow
El Presidente Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Smithy? While not correct, that certainly deserves a cigar
Magpie Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Vegeuros brand, all the cigars discontinued together.
