I'll chime in :) My wineador is a Newair 280e 28 bottle winecooler with Cheap Humidor cedar trays (some day I'll hit Forrest up for some proper drawers and shelves) and Ultra Pet litter pearls for humidification. I use a medium aquarium media bag up top (second rack from the top) and two Sterilite 12 cup food containers on the bottom. With this set-up I'm holding 60%/64F on the top and 64%/64F on the bottom. All in all a great storage solution that will easily hold 350 single sticks. Boxes? Not so sure. I will offer one tidbit I learned through trial and tribulation. You will hear people talk about how they deal with the drain hole on the back. Fill the catch tray with beads or KL, seal it with hot glue, etc. All workable options I suppose but I found out that a 5/32" vacuum cap (available at any auto parts store) fits tightly over the line coming out the back and seals off perfectly eliminating any incursion of air that might throw the RH off.

Here's my "el-cheapo" model :)

I have a Vinotemp 28-bottle model with cedar trays and half a pound of Heartfelt beads. It cost $150 and had been running for 7 years with very little maintenance even after 4 moves. I only add a little water about once a year. Only problem is that the built in temp display is of, but that's why I have a thermometer/hygrometer inside. I couldn't be happier with my Vinotemp.

In the process of getting my New Air 280 set up. Just need to get my drawers and shelves made up and it will be done. Currently running at 65/65 with 2lbs of HCM Beads. I've got about 8 boxes in there now resting on the stainless steel wine bottle shelves.

Mine will eventually look like this, same curly maple faces, but I will have two less drawers and two more shelves...better for box storage. No sticker on the front! peace.gif

I'm also going to make a short, black table for it to sit on to get the wineador up off the floor. Makes it easier to get cigars in and out and will look a little nicer too.....

I'll eventually need another or just bite the bullet and get a big Aristocrat again from Bob. Living in Houston, I need the temp control.
