Laxman Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Was wondering what boxes members where looking to load up on. Reg production, LE, RE, age whatever it maybe. I guess either you love the cigar or you believe it is going to be a killer down road or maybe something that will go up in value. The last 3 months of 2013 I was buying a lot of Epi 2's and JL 2;s as current production was amazing. Right now I am focusing on a few boxes I want to stockpile as I believe they will be gems in the future and love smoking them now: 1) La Flor de Cano Grandiosos- Love this cigar and cannot get enough. 2)montecristo grand edmundo edicion limitada 2010- smoked one I had sitting from a few years and now want to stock pile these as they blew me away. 3)Montecristo 520- another beautiful cigar that I think shall age wonderfully and may hold a high premium down the road. Focusing on these at the moment as I just finished stocking up on the HU RR's.
CaptainQuintero Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Monte #3 - although I'm not sure HSA would delete a cigar from their arguably most famous and premium brand, embarrassing much? It's the only reason I can think of for these, the #1 and especial #2 to still be around. QDO corona - how it is still around I've no idea! I could happily smoke just these two cigars for the rest of my life, the perfect cuban cigars imo and both age into amazingly rich and flavourful smokes. 1
Profmd Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Ya definitely agree with the montecristo 520. Have a few of them and have to fight not to smoke them all right now. Just fabulous. Love to find more if I could!!
ramon_cojones Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 just see art's thread he started a month ago
oliverdst Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 My biggest "pile" is 3 boxes of Monte GE. The pile concept varies from FOH to FOH I am sure. Some have 15 boxes and it's their pile. I have 3 and this is my pile. And I am sure for some my "pile" of three is big. As big as for me the 15 boxes. I can't tell you what I've been stocking up because lately I have bought several boxes that I've never smoked before so just 1 solo box is most of my stock. After having some Por Larrañaga Panetelas I can say that I would buy more boxes of it in the short term and some PL Montecarlos as some have compaired both.
polarbear Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I've started buying 50 Cabs where possible instead of mulitple 25 count boxes Not really sure why, just have My "Stock Up" point is usually 2 full boxes an a hand full of singles. I've been buying a few extra boxes of RASS and RA Sups lately. The RASS cause I want a few to lay down for a while and the Sups cause they are getting harder to find of late. Still need another box of Monte GE's and LFDC PCC RE's to bring the levels up to where I'm comfortable. 1
cpmurrin Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 really like the punch double corona now and down the road. otherwise just keeping stocked up on hdm #2, monte #2, vr unico, jl #2.
oliverdst Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 After thinking for a while maybe this will be a small cigars year. Family has consumed a lot of time lately. Sadly I can't afford more than an hour a day for cigars.
PapaDisco Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Robustos and Edmundos: Monte, PSD4, Epi2's up to about 50 of each. Then turned my attention to Corona Gordas: Punch Punch, but have been disappointed with the boxed 2010 PP's, very flat, the tubos are much better but still not what the '09's were, Cab of MdH Epi 1 which were fantastic and am going to order more just as soon as my backlog slims down. Cohiba Siglo IV, SLR Regios, RA Superiores. Would like to build up an aging stock of Churchills next. Life and credit card balances get dangerous when a man moves from a 50 stick humidor to jumbo tuperdors! 1

sblevit Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Bought a shitload of 1966s, just before they started to disappear. Also a butload of JL2s.
kwsaw63 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Picked up 2 boxes of LGC Tainos a few months ago. Thinking of getting a 2nd box of Punch Royal Selection No. 11 before they disappear for good.

In the last few months I've had Royal Robusto, Epi 2's, LFDC Grandiosos, Monte Grand Edmundo and Monte 520 and all of them have been fantastic for me also. All smoking great now.Perhaps you could stock up on some boxes for long term aging - Cohiba Robustos, Cohiba Siglo IV and/or HDM Des Dieux? Best wishes for adding to your already excellent collection. 1
godpheonix Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 For me its simple. i'm not a day to day smoker just occasionally when i need some meditation/contemplation time. one box of anything is pretty much good for me, except for LFDC Grandiosos(i got 2 boxes). at the rate i smoke and the 1300 or so cigars i've got, i'll have 10 to 20 years before i run out of anything! and since most CC's only get better with age, i'm quite happy about my circumstances!
Blakes Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Monte #3 - although I'm not sure HSA would delete a cigar from their arguably most famous and premium brand, embarrassing much? I really hope they don't do anything to the QDO Corona. I would like to think the Monte Esp.1 and 2 are safe.
