CohibaLover Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hi, I'm a new cigar smoker, Recently, i have started to fill my small 50 cigar max. humidor with cigars. A friend recommended starting with Montecristo No.4's. I tried one of his and liked it, so i bought a box of 25. The only issue I'm having is tasting and telling the difference between certain flavours and tastes. Can someone help!? Thanks
Optic101 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hello and Welcome ! That's a good place to start. http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95707
laficion Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Dear COHIBALOVER, I wouldn't worry about It for the moment, If I were you, you have plenty of time to get the tastes of a cigar ,It just takes time, and some experience ,that's all . Welcome anyway bro. . Guy
Pedro2486 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Welcome bro. Always need more sandgropers As for your question. I dunno, not enough experience I guess. I know what I like and what I don't but zooming in on the flavour profile kinda has me stumped too. The solution: smoke more cigars I do believe that ones palette should develop over time and with practice. It seems to also be rather subjective Once again welcome
hounser Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Welcome! The good news is you've come to the right place to get lots of suggestions on cigars to try and once you've tried a whole bunch you'll start getting an understanding of what you like.
bresdogsr Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Welcome to FOH. I have a hard time picking our certain flavors as well, my solution is to smoke more cigars.
