EuroTrash Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I got these sticks from Hamlet but I'm not sure exactly what they are. They appear to be a 42/43rg and don't appear to be any current Partagas vitola that I am aware of. Does anyone know what exactly this is other than being related to the anniversary? Photo is taken beside a PC for size comparison.
Orion21 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 They look like 898's to me. From what I know the cigars with bands like that are regular production with a second band added for the festival.
maverickdrinker Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Those are the Lusitanias that they handed out at the dinner...
EuroTrash Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I haven't had an 898 for a while and thought it was slightly thicker but I believe you are correct. He did mention the blend on these was slightly milder. Whether that is true or not I can't say yet. It is definitely not a Lusi.
Puros Y Vino Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 How about lining one of those sticks up against a ruler for some scale? From there we can deduce what it is. If you have an RG tool as well confirm the size.
MrGinger Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Those are the Lusitanias that they handed out at the dinner... If that is a PC for comparison, there is no way that is a Lusi. (49 X 7.6)
Lant63 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 partagas sellecion suprema? Supposed release for 2014?
maverickdrinker Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 It is most likely the 898 then. Couldn't really get a sense of scale. There were no 2014s released at the friends of Partagas festival last NOV....
