Colt45 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Thanks for posting ( I hope JS doesn't mind his vid being on YT ). Something that struck me - at around 33:00, it's mentioned that non-wrapper leaves are not completely de-stemmed, depending on final use. I'd never heard of this, and am assuming the leaves are left like this so that the rollers know what they are to be used for, and that the rollers complete the de-stemming?
nick17 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 thanks for posting! I watched this last night and was kind of disappointed I thought i would be more then this and I'm not a huge fan of his I felt as if i was being spoken down to almost. but I'm not going to complain to much I got to watch it for free
brutusthebuckeye Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I only made it thru the first 2 minutes...all I will say is his hair is hideous and Jim would have to pay me to watch it!!
Ryan Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I bought the DVD a few years ago when it came out. I think it's great. Well worth it. How many other hour long films are there, with interviews with the people involved, about the production of Cuban cigars?

I have no regrets to my full priced purchase from when it was released.

Puros Y Vino Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It's an excellent video. Could have been longer IMO though. JS is one of those polarizing figures in the hobby. I'm not crazy about his persona but he seems genuinely enthusiastic about CC's. At the end of the day he's a BOTL and is helping to educate new and old smokers alike. I'll take people talking up cigars vs those talking them down anyday.

polarbear Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 x3 His passion is what counts. True... But a hair cut wouldnt hurt either...
