Lol. I never have been too great at following instructions.

"A proud lineage albeit not too old"? That must be the Vegueros Especiales No.1, 1997

Trinidad Fundadores 1998 at a guess ..and 98 was the official public release I think.

1998 was my initial thoughts and recollection of the date - but checking Trev's site I was thrown by the '97 data. I flipped a coin, edited my original post, and hoped I was right ;)

Either way, I'm pretty sure its the Fundy that is the correct answer.

On a different topic, but considering it was raised in this thread - in regards to the Siglo 6 release date - I was certain it was 2003.

Can you confirm that it is 2002 as per CCW, Trevor? Thank you, Sir,

Well I'm definitely not as knowledgeable as most of the folks in here for Cuban cigars but I might as well take a stab at it.

The duplicity part makes me think Montecristo (as does the young part). They were founded in 1935 and started by Spanish immigrants instead of Cuban Nationals.

> Flame goes hand in hand with our birth.

This doesn't match my guess at all sadly, unless it's a reference to the revolution in 1959. So I'm probably way off base.

> My first release (birth) legendary and still one of the most highly sought after cigars in the world today by collectors

My gut would say the Montecristo 520 but that wasn't a first release from them, the original releases were just numbered.

So I'm going to be way off base here and say - Montecristo No. 2.

I'm going with 98 Trinidad Fundadores. i was going to say the OR Cohiba Laguito No 1 in 63/64 but that cigar is more of pipe dream vs something collectors can attain. There are 98 Fundies still out there to be had..albeit at a high price..
