maverickdrinker Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Might be heading to AZ in the near future and wanted to stock up on some bourbon and maybe cognac. Any suggestions?
SurpriseMVP Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Costco or total wine. Call me when you get here. Weather in the 70's and sunshine Mike 1
orangedog Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Aaron had to break my heart with the news on Sportsmans closing... maybe Magnum's up off of 7th and Union Hills.
LLC Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Just back from Scottsdale and there is a Total Wine on Scottsdale Blvd. and they do sell hard stuff at the Costco in Scottsdale as well.
maverickdrinker Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 Do you recall what bourbons they had at Costco Gary?
Chargerfan Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Ive seen Bulleit in 1.75, Makers, 46, and recently they had a Knob Creek 3 pack, Bourbon, 9 yr, and Rye. Ive seen more high end Single malt than bourbon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Orion21 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Costco has good pricing on Scotch Art, but bourbons are more limited. They have the normal Buffalo Trace, Bulliet, Jack Daniels etc. If you want a good bourbon selection look to BevMo and Total Wine and More. Since Sportsmans has closed I am trying to find another small retailer that has a good selection of rarer finds. I have heard good things about Magnums as well - a score since they are also a cigar bar. I was at Total Wine and More on Camelback last night and the bourbon selection was uninspiring. Lots of Scotch, but they haven't caught up with bourbon. I am going to head down to Top's Liquor, which also owns Sun Devil. They both are supposed to have really large selections. A pic from their websiteL Cheers!

poisonowns Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 How about a nice fat scorpion It's about time for them to come out of hiding, lol. I did my first sweep last night and killed two slow movers... I've gotten lucky with not having found a single scorpion since moving to my home in Surprise. I'm not sure of its the quarterly spraying or what but I hope they stay away!
SurpriseMVP Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I've gotten lucky with not having found a single scorpion since moving to my home in Surprise. I'm not sure of its the quarterly spraying or what but I hope they stay away! It's because the majority of surprise homes are built on farmland the has been pesticided to death over the years. Never see any scorpions here either but did have some black widows when we bought our house in 2006 Mike

Without fail each summer one always gets into the house and hides behind the sofa and chirps all evening.
maverickdrinker Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 any suggestions on which store(s) have a deep stock of cognac?
