Take Cusano for instance, just look at their band. http://www.famous-smoke.com/brand/cusano+cc+cigars My local smoke shop had some of these, when they had a guy who actually loved and studied cigars. He said didn't know the story or if the rumor was true, but said he heard that Cusano used some actual Cuban filler rather than what is stated. I believe it was total BS but I wonder how many of these and other cheap cigars like $1 a stick over run bundles from companies like this wind up with a counterfeit band and wind up being sold to some tourist for 10 times what their cost.

If you use the mobile app Instagram, just search through the #cohiba tag, and you will find endless giggles. Many of these guys do delete the comments when people try to let them know the bad news. As far as a link goes, I'm not sure how to do that without actually tagging you to each pic. I am not willing to do that, as many of these folks are the same type that like to screenshot my pics and try to claim them as their own. 1
