Por Larranaga.......Who Knew?

Recommended Posts

When it comes to Por Larranaga it seems all the chatter was towards the PLPC, and since that size of vitola isn't my bag, I never tried any offerings from that particular marca. That was until I ordered the 12 Days of Christmas sampler. Pl was the cornerstone of that sampler making up 4 of the 12 cigars ( if I remember correctly). Initially I thought the Prez might have been cleaning out his storage room, but man was i ever wrong. Each and everyone was a rock star.

Thanks Prez for putting together sampler. I look forward to several more in the future!

I've been loving PLs as of late I've recently bought a box of each Panatelas, Montecarlos, PC and Encantos.

They're all great in my opinion also very affordable.

party D4 is good but you get a bad one often

Monte 2 is very good but you hardly be able get a good one

Trinidad is amazing when you hit a good one

Cohiba is waste of money unless you get a really great one

with PLPC, you have to look hard to find a shitty one and when you do find that one, you can simply light another one up, the damage of two sticks together is still less than a stick of siglo 2....

I'm right there with you OkieJoe.... I never tried a PL before until a sweet czar sale netted me my first box and it's now my favorite marca of the year...

He was referring to the PLP, which is indeed short filler, I believe.

Noted. My bad. I thought it was all PLPC discussion in there, and didn't realize the switch to the Panetelas. Re-reading it, that's my bad. Sorry.

They're discussing the panetela which is short filler.

Trevor's website has information such as above if you're unsure in the future:

http://www.cubanciga...e.com/index.htm

Thanks, but we both know that I know of that resource. And it wasn't a point of being unsure as to the construction. As above, my bad was that I believed it was about PLPC, as in my quoted post, which was my mistake initially.

I read somewhere that there is no CC short filler being produced anymore.

Wrong. You're confusing with "machine made" cigars. There are several short filler cigars (PLP, RGPEx, Fonseca Delicias, the Piedra line), and even a recent release, the Quintero Favoritos.
