hoyopr Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I have a limited experience with Cohiba but have tried a number over the years, and although they have been nice cigars I have not bought a box of any. The one I would consider buying a box of that really impressed is the Exquisitos.
bogglor Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 For me, it's the 1966 in a landslide. If we're talking regular production, probably the Siglo IV. I haven't had ANY luck with CoRos yet. And the price premium for them is outrageous when the competition at that size is so stiff (RASS, PSD4, JL2, etc.)
backslide Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 My favorite Cohiba is the one I don't have to smoke.
NMJoe Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 When stellar, a CoRo makes me weep. When not, I reach for a VI.

Livo Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Thinking of picking up a box of something regular production. Was leaning towards the robusto since I always feel like you hear they're the greatest regular production cohiba (or maybe the lancero), but seems like the sig iv is very popular as well - more so than the others from the siglo line. Will have to take that into consideration.

Philski Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Not smoked a huuge amount of Cohibas (have IVs & recent CEs that are in hibernation), but have had quite a few Lanceros - always aged (>7 - 8 years) and they have all been stellar. The DC EL was lovely a few years ago, but I haven't touched the 15 or so that I have left for at least 5 years. Exquisitos - quite meh. VIs, had a few, pretty good. Robustos, generally good (need age though). All in all, Lanceros, given the choice.

MC4 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 To those who listed Lancero as their favorite: assuming you've also tried CCE, do you pick Lancero over CCE or they are both almost taste the same?

I just had this discussion actually. I don't think they taste the same. There are certain similarities but they taste different to me. There is a bigger difference than length. I definitely prefer the Lancero over the CE
ramon_cojones Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I love the lancero but must say the CCE gets the edge, just more complex.
Phillys Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 CoRo for now, but I have not tried them all yet.
