Getting close to that time of year. What are all my fell FOH members planning on smoking for that special New Years eve cigar? I for one am going to go large format. Either a Punch double corona or Monte A. Going to pair with some Stagg junior bourbon as my favorite George T Stagg has been unavailable for me this season. What say you botl and sotl?

Looking forward to New Years Eve with the family here on the Surf Coast of Victoria.

Not sure yet which cigar, but will be either Behike 52, Monte 520 LE or LFDC Grandiosos

In the cold and snow in Sweden i usually go for a shorts or half corona. (if i'm outside that is).

New Years in Oz would probably lend itself to the larger smokes. :-) (so jealous)

I've got a few Cohiba Sublimes and Monte Sublimes I've managed to pick up this year

Prob one of those

Christmas day will be a Monsdale at the very least

Maybe a BHK 52 unless I end up with something stupendous before hand. I have one RA Extra left out of a fiver I got in a box split, so that might end up getting toasted instead. Depends on how the BHKs are smoking.

I'm not a fan of NYE; too many bad expensive drunken nights and some of the worst hangovers after . I'm sitting this years out and cooking a decent 3 course meal on the day instead. Will follow with one or two of the DC's I have in my singles draw and have been saving for a special occasion.

Choice is; Punch, RA Gigantes, Hoyo, Lusi or Don Alejandro

Looking forward to it as It's my favourite format, but I've only ever had the SLR, Lusi and Hoyo before

Well this is the first winter I have continue smoking regularly. The temp got down to -6 last night which is about as cold as it gets where I live where it is usually warmer. I invested in some hi-tech undies and actually enjoyed the time in the cold. It is one thing to walk around and another to sit while smoking in cold weather.

Assuming the weather co-operates I will be tempted to have a Cohiba 1966 but would have to pay big dollars for one. Likely a Behike 52 with some friends if time permits.

I have an old Sancho Panza Sanchos from 2001 I picked up from Smithy ages ago. Going to start it about 10:30pm and run on through from there! party.gif

I'd bring a backup if I was you - that year and that vitola is VERY prone to construction issues :(

Cheers for the heads up. Well aware. New Year is at our place so I will have ample options from the fridge if the sanchos fails me. And will revert to another ample sized option! But this one is supposedly from a smokable batch! Smithy picked it when I was in at czars one arvo and I remember feeling it too, and looks good to go! Just chose it because they look so ridiculously long! ;-)

I'm thinking Bolivar PC, and a lancero, haven't decided which one yet.

I'm getting to the point where instead of one big, fat long cigar, I would rather smoke two shorter, skinny ones.

Monti A, Churchill Reserva,Partagas Grand Reserva if I get it in time.

We have these customs from rollers... one says Reynaldo, 2009. The other has no band. The only problem is we will probably go to someone's house and they will not smoke... maybe. Or, we may be able to convince some folks to join us in a herf pit. Could go either way. We will bring them some goofy sticks and they will still think they are smoking gold.
