Cant really make my mind up between these 3:

2012 rg perla, 2012 rascc and a 2003 des dieux.

Had several of each and not all had been great, but on one ocassion the stars was alligned with these. Had a fair number of cigars this year, and most more expensive than these, but they didnt reach same level

Standard production for me would be the hoyo de Monterrey epicure no. 2 that was the first box I received from czars

"New" cigar would be a tie between ERDM Anniversario and the monte 520 (both huge ring gauges, go figure

Best aged cigar of the year for me was a 1998 partagas serie D no4

And marca of the year for me would have to go to Por Larranaga

It's been a good year for cigars for me....

Hamlet Robusto with a little age on it, followed distantly by a Monte 2, one in the box was just brilliant, the rest were very good, but that one cigar...

Wow. Lots of beautiful sticks to try from these experiences.

For me it was an 08 Esplendido sitting around a campfire after a spectacular day of dry fly fishing. Until the next day at least when I broke out a 1966 I had been hoarding.

Curiously it was a Federal Cigar My Father Le Bijou 1922 Corona Gorda. Apparently these were special blends sold only through four B&M retailers here in the states. Went from a pepper bomb to to raspberry and citrus in the second third to a nice sweet cream finish. Really surprised me.

You all might laugh! But Monte 2. May 12, Upman factory. 95 pointer in my book. I have most of box left, should have bougt 5 boxes. Runners up summer 12 RASS and SLR A code unknown, was gifted.

So I was right afterall! LOL

Best Smoked in 2013: a 2001 CLE ABR CoLa that was puff to puff complex, showed the right amount of strength, sweetness, balance, elegance, and the finish went on for minutes. All in all, nearly two hours of bliss. Enjoyed while catching up with an old law school buddy at a Cuban themed restaurant.perfect10.gif I doubt the experience can be beat, but I'm intent upon trying. sneaky.gifok.gif

Also had some great young cigars: BRCs, PSE2s, CoEspys, Behike54, Siglo IV, Siglo VI. New Years's resolution is to get a job that will allow me to buy/smoke more. party.gifcigar.gif

I retract my last two candidates because the montecristo no2 I had tonight just blew anything I had this year out of the water! I didn't want to put it down! Even the ashes smell good!
