HDM Epi1

I've now had 2 sticks from an early 2012 box and both have been very very bland - and I don't mean mild, I mean bland. First time I've had epi1 but they are nothing like the epi2 or some 2006 des dieux I've had. Is it just the blend or is this a dud box?

It sure doesnt have to be bland - my experience is that they are a bit fuller than epi2s

Did the vendor select the box for you or was it bought blind?

This Is something I don't understand, They have been my go to cigars for years ,I guess you had a very bad box ?

I find them FANTASTIC .

The first year or so on any cigar can do funny things until they have settled down, give them a couple of months and they will probably be fine, if not give them a longer sleep and try again you may have just had bad luck and smoked the duds first and the rest will be great you never know!

I love epi 1s but my current box have all been tough to draw. I'm gonna dry box the next one to see if that'll help

Thanks for the comments. I bought it blind. Will let them sleep for a while. Epi2 from same vendor have been smoking beautifully
