#1 has always been my favorite in size and flavor, although it seems the #2 has broader mass appeal over the years.  What trumps all is quality, don't buy either one blind.

I remember a #1 that just facemelted me the whole way through. Just a show stopper of a smoke. I also remember a #2 that was really great for the first inch, but then fell flat. I'd rather have a box of #1s

Taste wise, I like #2 over #1. 

 

Size, I like #1.

Personally I'm still smoking through my #2's from 2005 and they are light years better than my Selection # 1's (2008)
