OK, we all love Habanos, but if you have to go to a non Cuban what's your favourite?

Me, anything Padron!

Almost anything Fuente. Especially the 858 maduro, short story, queen B, Casa Fuente, Sharks, etc... oddly enough I am not a big fan of the Opus, but that may just be because I have smoked most of them relatively young ad have not given them time to age a bit.

I agree, I enjoy fuentes quite a bit as well, I smoked an anejo cant remember the name i know it was a corona gorda and it was a stellar cigar. i like the sweet profile of the queen b as well. I just wish they had more complexity

Fuente Anejo hands down. When they come in, in the next couple of months, it will be my first NC box purchase in a very long time. Sometimes it's tricky finding shops that don't mark them up 3-5 per cigar.

My favorite go to non cuban is oliva serie v, rocky patel vintage 1990, alec bradley prensado torpedo, or padron 1964 exclusivo maduro!

Opus x fan here, and just about any padron but cubans have ruined them for me as i feel all padrons are one note throughout the whole cigar.

Usually its anything Tatuaje but lately I've been smoking Illisione Rothchilds like they're going out of fashion

x 2 on the Rothchildes

Tried a few different ones over the years.

Unfortunately, my palate is decidedly tuned for Cuban cigars.

The only NC's that I can really stomach are the Padron Serie 1926 and the Serie 1967. Roughly only one or two of those every one or two years. So....you can see that I just don't care for NC's (palate-wise).

I'm smoking an illusione singulare phantom LE 2010 and it's not bad. I tend to lean to some of the my fathers cigars.

I'd have to say Davidoff Millenium Lancero or Tatuaje Especiales, not the Capa 7 Especial but the true long panatela

I've truly enjoyed almost all the Jesus Fuego 777's, Origen, Sangrie, etc. After that La Aurora Leonidas Coronitas and Chisels. And Pete Johnson's Tatuaje selections are also practically out of this world! 2thumbs.gif

Opus X, Casa Fuentes, AF Anejos, Tats, & DE Pigs/Rats/9s/T52s.

Haven't bought any in over a year but still enjoy one from time to time.

Oh, have to add the La Aurora Cien Anos EE Robusto Maduro - picked one up at De La Concha a few months back and after smoking it actually went deep on a 'domestic' for the first time in a long time.....

I prefer Padron's, most tat's, and short story maduro. I have not smoked many nc's since discovering cc.

Hard to say a favorite as my mood decides what i enjoy on any given day. I can say this I enjoy allot of cigars both CC and NC so I guess my palette is forgiving which which is ok with me

The short stories are a bit of a treat for me, short and sweet although not literally.

I know with scotch I eventually whittled it down to the peaty ones but the price pushed me to try some of the new Rye`s we have and I have to say not paying $128.00 a bottle for Lagavulin and instead paying $28.00 for a Forty Creek makes me a little happy.

So there you have it. I have no palette and am a cheap drunk. but a happy one.

Fuente 858's, anejos and opus x. Padron x000's for a budget smoke. I also enjoy tat brown labels with some age on them. That's about all I enjoy in the nc world. I'm still burning through my sub par nc stash and barely smoking any cc'acc's to let them age and build up count. My goal is 80% cc's and 20% nc's (been buying nothing Fuentes and pardons as far as nc's go now for about 2 years).

This.

I've given up buying them now, The only time I get to smoke them is with a friend who likes the odd few NC cigars... but I usually have a few puff's give it back, Interestingly I've noticed we have a slightly different palate when smoking Cubans.. having different takes on the flavours, he seems not to pick out the sweet, mild and floral flavours as much, even when we swap cigars they're smoking the same. Also our preferences differ too he very much likes his strong full bodied Cubans such as Cohiba Genios etc.. which I don't really care for either and actually remind me of NC.
