mk05 Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I feel bad for Steelers nation. Hopefully Leveon Bell will be able to deliver them from the cavern they've dug themselves into...lot of pressure to put on the young kid coming into NFL, and off an injury. Old defense. Weak secondary. Damaged linemen. Let go of unreal talents in WRs over time (IMO). If anything this shows how much better Brady is over Ben.
Dozerhead Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I'm not a Skins fan, but I have been a fan of RG3 since his early days at Baylor. To me, there is nothing to dislike about him and the way he goes about things (maybe a little reckless when running with the ball, but that's it). But, in all fairness, he is not the same player that he was last year. He is not moving as well in the pocket and his downfield speed is not the same. I think as they knee progresses, those things will improve, but it is hard to do that in the middle of season when recovering from that type of injury. Not everyone will bounce back like Adrian Peterson which was more of an anomaly than the norm. Keep in mind he had more ligament damage than AP and that this is already his second reconstruction in the same knee within the last 3-4 years. I don't blame him for the Skins' woes so far this year, but to be honest, he has only played well in the first 2 games this year when the team was getting blown out and defenses started letting up in the second half. I think once his knee fully heals he will go back to being the dominant player that he was last year, but until then it will be a wait see situation. I just hope he can stay healthy in the meantime.
brutusthebuckeye Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Long suffering Browns fan here.....they just traded Trent Richardson...we have 10 picks in next years draft...The Draft is what Browns fan look foreword to every year...Rebuilding every 2 years.....The Black Hole Of pro sports...Cleveland Ohio....The Mistake By The Lake...The Factory of Sadness...The last time the browns won a playoff game Bill Belachik was the coach...1994 ...I was a senior in high school...
brutusthebuckeye Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 They just traded their rb for real ? Yes!
Louich Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Wow I just read the article on PFT... Once again bet on the Browns to make a dumb move. At least they got a 1st to help them move in the draft and get a QB (again). Hopefully this time it wont be a semi retired rookie and they get some wr's to help him for once.
brutusthebuckeye Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Lol....I don't think the browns will ever get it right...new front office and coach...new owner...same old browns...
Hugomarink Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Hawks 2-0 Forty whiners taking a beat down on Sunday night was fantastic. Goes to show how overrated Kapernick is. One bad game against the what may be the best defense in the NFL on the road in a stadium where the home team rarely loses and Kaepernick is overrated? Please.

And with the first-round draft pick, the Browns select, Brady Quinn...I mean, someone just as bad. As usual. They finally did something right with Richardson and they let him go for a prospect of another. What are they thinking? Sorry guys, but Manziel will be looong gone.
AlohaStyle Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Trent Richardson is never healthy... good trade by the Browns. Remains to be seen trade for the Colts. Will be good if he can play, but it seems he is always on the injury report.
BatFastard Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 One bad game against the what may be the best defense in the NFL on the road in a stadium where the home team rarely loses and Kaepernick is overrated? Please. Sorry... I'll rephrase my comment. Goes to show how Kaepernick has no business playing in Seattle.
Ken Gargett Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 the trade by the browns gives the colts the first and third pick from last year (still very happy to keep rg3). not a bad haul. if he can get vaguely fit, you'd have to think it a good deal for the colts. as for kaepernick, i was stunned to see that he is the lowest paid starting QB in the competition. $600k, i think. no wonder 49ers could attract so much other talent. but you have to wonder when the contract review comes up, who is out of there because surely they'll want to lock him up long term.
Bill Hayes Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Dolphins 2-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF
Louich Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I bet the Browns go for Bridgewater way before Johnny Football. Tyey now have ammunition to go around and get who they want. Kaper is a good qb, top 5 still remains to be seens as he still is new to the NFL. Plus before calling the Hawks defense one of the best I would not consider the stats for now because we are only two weeks in. Plus some of the other top 5 teams are the Raiders, the Chiefs ...I mean seriously ! Lol
DrunkenMonkey Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I don't really have a team, but what I don't understand is all of the hate towards RGIII He was 26-40 (65% completion rate) with 320 yards passing and 3 TDs. Compare that to golden boy Tom Brady who was 19-39 (48% completion rate) with 185 yards passing and 1 TD. No one is calling for Brady to be benched, they are blaming his WR's and chemistry. How about if the Redskins defense actually played some defense and didn't put all of the pressure to get a big lead early on a second year QB who just came back from major surgery . . . what a novel idea! The Golden Boy is 2-0. 'RG3-and-out' is 0-2. I don't think comparisons to Brady are going to do him any favors. I agree about the skins D, though. Terrible. But I think a lot of defenses will look like that against the Packers this year. Washington has gone away from the designed runs for RG3, and that takes away a lot of his effectiveness. Of course they're right to do that; his career wasn't going to last long if he kept getting blasted as often as he was. Benching him would be crazy, obviously, as he gives them the best chance to win. But let's not order his bust for Canton just yet. He's not even the best QB of last year's rookie class, let alone comparable to someone like Tom Brady.

Nothing wrong with the Steelers D, except too much time on the field, and not enough turnovers. I think if their O-line were good, the team is all of a sudden a contender. Also nothing wrong with Ben, except no running game and no pass protection. There are only 3 QBs I would rather have in Pittsburgh than Ben, and outside of Brady, Brees, and Manning the elder, I'd take Ben over anyone else at the moment (for right now; obviously if you factor in age, Kaepernick or Luck would be the best choice).
Ken Gargett Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 the rg3 debate. some interesting thoughts from his former coach. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000247388/article/art-briles-took-rgiii-4-to-5-games-to-be-back-to-normal
srbbones Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Chiefs 2-0 baby! Now they are 3-0! Holy guacamole! I must look out the window and see if pigs are flying!
bresdogsr Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 My team, the Eagles lost again. Too many turnovers. They are rebuilding, but come on...
Louich Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Now they are 3-0! Holy guacamole! I must look out the window and see if pigs are flying! There is a DE rep at your door ? Lol IMO RGIII will be fine when he get most of his mobility back. Shanahan will probably put his legendary bootleg playbook in action and he will turn into a Jake the Snake 2.0.
Hafner32 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 The Eagles have returned to their proven ways, too many turnovers and a porous defense. I can feel the season getting longer and longer after just 3 weeks.

I can feel the season getting longer and longer after just 3 weeks. I'm a Gants fan that lives in Eagles country, but I feel your pain.At least the whole division is bad. Also think this is the year where the Giant finally unravel. It's gonna be a long season fol all NFC East fans.
