El Presidente Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Ken and I get together to review a couple of VR Clasicos....from a particularly ugly box of mine This is our new film editor Jessica"s first attempt at a editing an FOH Vid
Munts Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I'm sure there is a cigar review in there somewhere.....
Hohenthal Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Bravo Jessica , and, delightful to watch as always, Gents! Cheers, Alex
polarbear Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great work Jess Lads, a pleasure as always ;-)
Larsy Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great vid as always boys. Always a pleasure to watch
riazp Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 so whats the odds of jessica drinking heavily before editing the next video? i give it 2-1 odds lol. Good review gents. Damn shame VR's face construction issues. I do enjoy the profile.
Ssmith114 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great review guys! I have a box of Classicos from FEB11 that I've only smoked 4 cigars from but each one has been great with no construction issues.. Knock on wood lol
Hafner32 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great vid, love the Vegas Robaina profile, perhaps its time for a Famoso tonight
ToroRph Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great job to all! Kudos to Jess especially!
CanuckSARTech Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 so whats the odds of jessica drinking heavily before editing the next video? i give it 2-1 odds lol... LOL. It might explain the sarcastic comments put in there by Smithy?!!?
Colt45 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Count me as a Clasico fan - thanks for the review KG - cigar before a tasting? P.S. I've seen the "snot" on cigars many times. I always just figured them to be dried splotches of oil.
Ken Gargett Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 well done, jessica. who needs smithy!
Ken Gargett Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Count me as a Clasico fan - thanks for the review KG - cigar before a tasting? P.S. I've seen the "snot" on cigars many times. I always just figured them to be dried splotches of oil. it was well before the tasting, colt. was supposed to be a quick, small cigar. but didn't realise it would be such hard work.
CanuckSARTech Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 ....P.S. I've seen the "snot" on cigars many times. I always just figured them to be dried splotches of oil. I've just come to understand it as a cigar that had maybe a bit too much glue on the torcedors hands, and it left a residue which dried. And/or, too much glue used maybe in the application of the wrapper itself, and then if it was an overly humid box, or overly damp day/week/month, then that caused the glue to "seep" out and bleed from the wrapper leaf. That's just informally what I figured it might be, anyway. Haven't noticed a taste difference one way or another when I've noticed the dried residue on particular cigars.
Colt45 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I've just come to understand it as a cigar that had maybe a bit too much glue ........... Keith, sounds more than plausible - I've never noticed any difference either, or really gave it a second thought. Were I truly skittish about cooties, I'm pretty sure I'd never smoke hand made cigars!

While I have seen glue on many cigars over the years, this is the first time to my memory where the "glue love" has been spread so generously

While I have seen glue on many cigars over the years, this is the first time to my memory where the "glue love" has been spread so generously so we can add glue sniffing to the list! LOL. I was just gonna say....so they must have switched the plant-/pectin-based cigar glue out for the old-fashioned airplane glue, huh??!!? LOL.
buster Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 As good as all the classic pairs: Burns and Allen, Felix and Oscar, Niles and Frasier. You ought to consider having an AED on the deck if Ken is smoking any more tight draws. Rick
