El Presidente Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 i just purchased a mate of mine a black leather white stitched humidor for his 50th. Gorgeous. I am not really into Fancy Humidors. i own a Bugatti blue 100 cigar desktop humidor that i use for dryboxing. Still.....If you were to drop serious dollars on a humidor...what would you purchase? Post pics to get the tastebuds flowing
polarbear Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 If i could justify another desktop humidor (I've just purchased my 3rd wine fridge for bulk storage) I'd be looking seriously at one of these. http://www.gryphonhumidors.com/gallery.php#TheLancelotHumidor/1 A friend of mine just had one made for him and they are gorgeous!

Bloody nice mate what do they go for?
oliverdst Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 At the moment I need something like that to stop worrying about space for some time.
polarbear Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Bloody nice mate what do they go for? $800us-ish depending on the timbers you choose He makes them, by hand, to order so the lead time is around 8 weeks but he'll make them out of any timber combo you want. Seriously considering buying one Is $800 too much to spend on a Dry Box?
El Presidente Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Is $800 too much to spend on a Dry Box? My Bugatti cost me 3k "ish". I am a Prima Facie Idiot.

davidsan Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 If I had the dosh I'd roll like Arnie, solid silver humidor - http://www.danielmarshall.com/unique.html
Habana Mike Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I'm a bit partial to this one Especially if still full
seamus Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Not one for fancy desktops but if I were to get one.. Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk 4
Hypersomniac Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I have been thinking about having my uncle make me an end table humidor. He is a woodworker, and is very good at it. He has never made a humidor before though. If anybody has any advice on that, I would surely appreciate it. Maybe like this, but much nicer.
TheKosherStogie Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Ellie blue is just stunning. They are peices of art. I have 2 Daniel Marshall desktops and some $100 desktops as well. Not sure one works any better than the other
finecigar Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 http://www.vigardesigns.com/index.php/limited-edition/97-italian-villa-humidor On a trip currently so no personal pic- but this is my prized desktop humidor I own. The woodwork done is unbelievable- and maintains perfect humidity. Can hold 150-200 singles! I love it. The inside is about 3 inch thick walls.

Cohiba Stevie Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I own one of Bob Staebell's aristocrat humidors and I friggin love it. Here's a pic: http://www.aristocrathumidors.com/blacklacquer.html Mine is the very first one. That is the pic bob sends you upon completion but it has to be seen in person. The black laquer is just exquisite. But if i had the coin and had to buy another humidor it would without doubt come from this German firm: http://www.humidorbau.de/century-humidore/century-cabinet-schrankhumidore/index.html Incredible. Recommended by Figaro who is a good guy here.
Zigatoh Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Just bought a 19th century humidor with lovely glass panels in the doors and bronze handles on the sides and the three drawers, and adjustable separators, will post pics when I get home from hols.

OZCUBAN Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 My Bugatti cost me 3k "ish". I am a Prima Facie Idiot. Far from it mate, anyone who knows you, knows of your generosity man can do far worse than to have a friend like you . My 50th is in January when is yours :-) Steve
Upnorth3 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I'd like one of those old school cuban cabinets. The one where if you purchased a particular cigar they would ship hundreds of them in a sizable cabinet rather than a box.
