MrDowse Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 www.pewresearch.org/quiz/science-knowledge/ 12 out of 13. The one i got wrong my reaction was "Really!?". I had to google it afterwards just to check. I imagine a lot of people will do the same. You learn something new every day.
MrDowse Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13/13 Well I don't want to spoil it for anybody by being too specific but it was about the composition of a gas.
canadianbeaver Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 . 9/13. Better than I did in grade 13 Biology: 54% and I passed only because I sat with the class genius who wanted to sit beside a girl.
Oscar300 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Bah got two wrong, hang on its the internet.....13/13
Guest rob Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Science and geography were my favourite subjects at school. (with the exception of chemistry, which I hated) 13 / 13.
LordAnubis Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13/13. The only one that stumped me for a bit was the laser one, got it anyway.
Maxismoke Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Laser= Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission if Radiation. :-) yes, I was the class geek.
rsanz Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13/13... never really liked science at school but learned to embrace in later in life.
Fuzz Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13/13. What I find really interesting is the demographic breakdown of the results.
joeypots Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13 of 13. Not much of a test if you ask me but then again never underestimate the ignorance of the masses.
livedavid Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13 of 13. Not much of a test if you ask me but then again never underestimate the ignorance of the masses. You scored better than 93% of the public and the same as 7%. Hahaha
dpodiluk Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 13/13 I'm surprised at the summery at the end, figure there be more smart people.
mazolaman Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 12/13...was 50/50 on the wrong one, but jumped the wrong way. Also got my age wrong.
CanuckSARTech Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 What does it mean if it says 5/13? I didn't think that this was going to be a math test? Why are fractions a part of this science thing? This test definitely doesn't bode well for the future of the American education system, if the statistics and research from their national survey are correct.
