Vortigan
A 10 count of Mag 50.....just visually they are dull and lifeless and they taste no different, worse in fact.Just unlucky on that occasion and grateful that was no bank breaker, being only a 10 count of course.Certainly taught me the import of being more selective in decision making and demonstrated the valuable service that Rob provides here in the PSP/HQ program. dowjr1
Haha! Me too on a 10 box of HUp Mag 50s....from another vendor before I discovered FOH. Just pale and dull looking in appearance with blandness upon smoking. I waited a long while but they never came around. They weren't bad tasting...just devoid of taste. I had purchased various singles prior to that and was SO excited when these came in. It was a big disappointment. They were so bad, in fact, I wrote the vendor questioning him on their authenticity. That did not go well. I have since learned much more about the unpredictable nature of CC construction. The vendor is also legit...but runs a different kind of operation than FOH. There is a reason I am a patron here.

Vortigan
Time cures many of these ills. Many Upmanns are tasty when fresh, then go off for years. My '04 and '05 46s are just starting to come around. I'm glad that i still have most of them left. '08s and '09 are totally shut down. PL is another marca that needs patience. I thought that my cab of '07 PCs was my worst buy ever, Now they are like butterflies just out of their coccoon. One smoked a few days ago was fantastic. The Montecarlos and even the Panetelas need 4-5 years to really show their stuff. I also, for years, despaired of my '04 RA Gigantes, and SC '01 El Morros, both purchased fresh. They are now among my most precious smokes. I could cite many more examples. The point is, don't despair, or dump a box that doesn't perform to your expectations. Sock it away; maybe try one every 6-12 months. You may end up very pleasantly surprised. Fair point I reckon. My Mag 48's,for example, have just completely lost it at the minute (something I've heard others say about the same cigar) but I've got a lot of faith in these coming around again, hopefully before too long! Got some Epi 1's that I feel similarly about...........and JL 1's......:-)

drockspang1
2 boxes, both bought in 2012. Forget the codes, and don't wish to remember: ERDM Choix Supreme... the frustrating thing about this box was 4-5 were actually pretty good. The other 20 were a disgrace. And I mean the worst cigars I have ever tasted! Terrible construction(wind tunnels) and on some it was like the wrapper was fireproof? I was amazed at the quality contrast in one box. Cuba I guess?... I haven't any ERDM since. Punch Punch. I have half of this box aging in the hopes they come around? But after reading numerous complaints from BOTLs on various boards about 2012 Punch Punch, I'm not too hopefull?

Maplepie
Hands down this box of 2000 SLR Churchills. Mostly devoid of flavor, fireproof wrappers and draw like a brick. Otherwise not a terrible cigar.... Send them all to me. I'll wash the wrappers down and reroll them on i can always find interesting things to do with tobacco. santela
Mine was a box of JL2 before my FOH days. Ugly ass cigars, sand paper wrappers, and devoid of taste. I stocked them away for a long sleep and smoked one the other day, it seems to be coming around a little bit. Fingers crossed. And this is why I'm here now, having Rob handpick cigars is essential to the whole Cuban experience. I'm cheap so only 12:12 so far, but even those have been a few notches above my previous vendor's quality. I'll have to participate in a LFTH soon. forgop
I have a box of cigars I won at an event put on by a local B&M. It's a box of Perdomo something or other, like 60 ring gauge. Tried one, hated it, waited 6 months or so, tried another, hated it. Probably won't try any more. Anyone want a box of Perdomo something or other? Who could possibly turn down the opportunity to add the worst box of cigars to their stash?
DrunkenMonkey
Who could possibly turn down the opportunity to add the worst box of cigars to their stash? Ha. No takers yet. Still available, at the low low price of having to smoke these things.
rickmccarey
'12 Monte no.2 box. Bland , mild and lacking any real complexity and flavor. A real disappointment.
rhcolbert
Don't have the code anymore, but it was a box of dip no 1s I got from a supposed reputable dealer. I am convinced they were fakes. Why you would go to the effort to fake these instead of montes or Cohiba sis beyond me. It's like making counterfeit 5$ bills when you coulda made $20s or 100$. They tasted EXACTLY like grass clippings. Disgusting. I've had NCs that tasted the same which led me to the conclusion they were fakes. I've had bad Cubans but never with that flavor profile. Mckucci
It has to be a box of CAO MX2..... I purchased the box when I first started really smoking cigars and collecting them in 2009.... Now I just use the box as give away sticks when friends that don't really smoke want to have a cigar with me, thankfully there is only about 9 or so left.. lol ! Horrible cigar.... I'm as guilty as anyone, that's for sure! I have a father-in-law that can smoke upwards of 2-3 a day. He appreciates ANY of my cigars I give him.... But I usually choose which ones he gets! earthson
Tatuaje J21 I don't know what happened to these or what the uff is happening at Tatuaje (maybe too many brands out?) but these are terrible anymore. The rest of the brown label still hit all the right notes with me. Did Tatuaje run out of the tobacco to make this blend or what?
Laxman
Would have to go with Worst tasting box would be a 10er of RyJ Wide Churchills. Worst looking would be a box of 95 HDM Epi 2's but they smoke like a dream.
