Ive just moved into my new place on the water in the West Bay district of Grand Cayman.

Its a ways out here, 20-30 minutes to work depending on traffic which is a lot for this island.

It does have its benefits. In the evening, open the doors to the terrace and all you hear is rustling palm trees and the waves breaking on the rocks.

Had a buddy over two nights ago and I cooked (which I dont do often) and I made one of my fave meals from when I was a young lad - piccadillo - pretty standard mexican dish. Never knew that dish could me fouled up so bad - but I did it.

Anyway, didnt have outside furtniture yet so smoked two 2001 Juan Lopez PC's in the new living room - what a way to break the house in. The smokes made up for the meal.

Last night enjoyed a few beers and a stupendous Partagas Short. It was dark so no pics, but all I could see was the muted blue light of the pool to my right, the light on the end of the pier to my left and all I could hear were the aforementioned palm trees and waves.

Here is a pic of my terrace view during the day.post-9066-0-71803700-1369782740_thumb.jp

I think I can hear the palm trees from here...they're crying for some hammocks.
