simmons4 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi everyone I'm mike I live in Virginia with wife and 2 sons. Some new friends introduced me to cigars and I'm hooked. Can't belive I've wasted 40 years that I could have been smoking. As I said new to smoking cigars and am forced to smoke on a budget so any suggestions on a good value price cigar would be welcome. now to try to contribute to all of you anyone needing a good hygrometer i found a Meade TM005X-M on casa.com then if you add a Kikkerland Kikkerland Casino Bottle Opener you'll be over $35 and get free shipping then put in coupon code SPRINGCASA20 to get 20 % off so end cost for both is $28.78.
finecigar Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Welcome to FOH! For a budget cigar I would go for a box of Partagas Mille Fluers, Por Larranaga Panatelas, Quintero Favoritos, Jose L. Piedra Petit Cazadores, or El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasses... all wonderful budget smokes that all have pretty good consistency/ quality for an afforable price.
winelover Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Welcome. If you can afford Ramon Allones Specially Selected (RASS), they are amongst the brst robustos and great value too.
Ginseng Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Welcome, Mike. There are a couple of us here in No. Va. Whereabouts are you in the state? Wilkey
Troels Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi and welcome. My suggestion for smokes at a good price/quality ratio would be partagas shorts, Rafael Gonzales perlas and bolívar petit corona

I have to agree that ERDM Demi Tasse are fantastic cigars if you like that size.

stargazer14 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Welcome and thanks for the product tip - I was just looking for a remote hydrometer AND I have one of those openers, they work great and the size and thickness fits my needs exactly.
stargazer14 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Mike - thanks for the tip on the hydrometer, you posted yesterday and today I have a sweet Meade remote working perfectly in my solid copper humidor without issue(Casa.com has some speedy free shipping!). Even tho I open the door most everyday anyway, I no longer need to peek inside to know whats going on in there as the main unit sits on my desk! Thanks, and you have my recommendation as a 'contributing member". p.s. Since I already had the Casio Opener, I add a 5-count CigarCaddy™ to get the free shipping, needed one of those anyway!

I could relieve you of some of those so you can order some more.
