hjmclain22 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 MUL Jun 2014 lusis ten count box. Easily the worst cigars I've ever purchased....
kuma Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Waiting on a box of PSP HDM Dbl Coronas from the 24:24 program from last week. The box code is; MOB AUG 14 this is my first box of double coronas and a first for the HDM's. I've only heard good things about this smoke. Any input from fellow members would be highly regarded.

I bought a 50 cab of MOB SEP 14 from a recent 24:24. I've only smoked one but it was a stunner!
foursite12 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Strider, I just rec'd a box of PSP MOB Aug 14 HDM DCs and fired one up last night. Don't let the initial mildness fool you; jets of pure cedar and spice punctuation throughout. Perfect draw; flawless construction. Down to the NUB. I simply couldn't get enough of it, which is saying something after 2 hours. Up to medium strength for last 2/3. Give it a try if you haven't already and let us know your thoughts as well.
lipher Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The hdm DC psp box I got a couple weeks ago was perfection.
Popular Post RNasr Posted August 29, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 29, 2015 love a Double Corona ..these just arrived from the Vault 04's mmmm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
ElPuro Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Well, this just arrived - I guess pictures speak louder then words. Seriously jealous... 2
Fugu Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Surprising result. The Party Lusi just doesn’t seem to do it for me (anymore?). I am certainly not on “strong and bold”-preference, but recent ones, in partic. 2013/14, just plain mild, flavourless and really boring to me. Perhaps too young, may be. The SLR DC, on the other hand, seems to just play in another league. Perhaps the richest and strongest of the current DCs in my opinion, fresh as well as aged. Really wonder what it is with the Lusis and me, since they receive so much love from members here.
luv2fly Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Not a big DC smoker but I have always liked the HDM, SLR, and Lusi. Just can't find the time to commit but I think this year I may.
joeruby Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Just getting into Dc's, The few Lusis I have tried have been fantastic. Punch DC is next
RijkdeGooier Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Summer is coming to the Northern Hemisphere. Time to see how the DC's have developed over the winter. 1
dflan82 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Summer is coming to the Northern Hemisphere. Time to see how the DC's have developed over the winter. I was just thinking the same thing last night. The one that I'm most looking forward to is the Ramon Allones Gigantes. The last one I had at the end of last summer was 94+ (cigar was from 2014 box).
Ralphanator Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Well, this just arrived - I guess pictures speak louder then words. Seriously jealous... WOW Such a beautiful site to behold Thanks for sharing!!
David88 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I ordered a box of Punch DCs last week so hopefully they will keep me going for quite some time. I have never really had much experience with double coronas previously (I have shamefully only had 1 Lusitania!) as I felt that they would be just too long a smoke. I think it's a vitola I need to give more attention to.
Mattygukas Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 WOW Such a beautiful site to behold Thanks for sharing!! Agreed, the Lucy's are awesome and can say that is something I would love to see in my house! Share your rating/review when you smoke the first one.
joeruby Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 A cab of 50 Lusis.. It's what dreams are made of.. Very nice indeed
TheMonk Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Thanks again, gents! Agreed, the Lucy's are awesome and can say that is something I would love to see in my house! Share your rating/review when you smoke the first one. That review might take a while, that cab went for a somewhat deep sleep, as I've got a couple boxes already cracked open, also from 2014, and all of them have been simply excellent. 1
FalseCast Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 That cab of Lusi's is just a fantastic sight. I want to try the readily available DC's this summer. They're disappointingly absent from my selection.
Randolph Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I've been watching this thread for a few weeks now and couldn't resist hitting the ORDER NOW button on a box of Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro. I await their delivery and look forward to putting them to bed in comfortable surroundings until such time as I feel deserving of one of them to test. Combined with my box of Punch DC and an awaited box of 10 Lusi's, at a rate of 1 DC per month I now have a 5 year supply. All three of my DC collection are 2015 models..... how long a wait do you think would present optimal results? I am also eyeing a new humidor to use only as a holding room for long termers and plan to humidify it with Boveda. Would be grateful if anyone suggests alternative solution but I have found Boveda has worked well for me. Randy
JohnS Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Boveda has worked well for me too, Randy. I have a long-term tupperdor, stored in a cool room in the dark, with a 65% rh pack. Stable temperature and as a result, the pack lasts ages, easily 9 to 12 months if not more. 1
