AndrewNR Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Put that on my list of things never to try I have wondered if Cigars are intentionally going down an easier to produce mass market line to usher in a new group of casual smokers..
stargazer14 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 The visual with that review is priceless. Thanks Joe.
El Presidente Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 The visual with that review is priceless. Thanks Joe. Yes....a picture is worth a thousand words ...
Trevor2118 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 ...and they are going to bin them.....I mean tin them. http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.aspx?brand=Vegueros
Lotusguy Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Thanks for the comments Can't say I'm surprised - they should have just let that disaster of a marca RIP.
AndrewNR Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Wow.. We've gone from gorgeous jars to tins.. So these are like an unflavored Tatiana then?? 1
Bolismoker Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Not any Habanos I have no desire to ever smoke, looks like I just found one.
oliverdst Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I may be worng but my impression is that Habanos want to introduce a brand to beginners, like Monte Open. This ring has an appeal to the young smokers.
frenchkiwi Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 ...and they are going to bin them.....I mean tin them. http://www.cubanciga...?brand=Vegueros aaaaarrrrgghhhh... they've taken the worst of american market cigars design and put wings on it
Hohenthal Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 ...and they are going to bin them.....I mean tin them.
mazolaman Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Always good to read your work Jose. I sit here smokind a Vegueros no2 from 2000...full of floral/herbal flavours. An excellent cigar, unique in many respects. Far removed from the fat, flavourless rubbish that will dutifully follow the Open ranges.
Phillys Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I may be worng but my impression is that Habanos want to introduce a brand to beginners, like Monte Open. This ring has an appeal to the young smokers. Young smokers have plenty flavorful options to chose from already, now posers who hate the taste of smoke and want to smoke a fat tasteless cigar to show off are well served with the Eagle.
IcedCanuck Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I think I might still pick up a single and give it a try... 1
oliverdst Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Young smokers have plenty flavorful options to chose from already, now posers who hate the taste of smoke and want to smoke a fat tasteless cigar to show off are well served with the Eagle. It's about marketing and not flavour that I am talking about.
thechenman Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Sorry to hear they are such a disappointment. Always hate it when great cigars get discontinued only to have mediocre to subpar cigars released. 1
Nino Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 It's about marketing and not flavour that I am talking about. Agree Oliver, the newly released Vegueros Mananita I had was quite pleasant and, again, the band was liked for its "retro" ( Art Deco ) design. But taste & design is a battlefield ...
Pedro2486 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I may be worng but my impression is that Habanos want to introduce a brand to beginners, like Monte Open. This ring has an appeal to the young smokers. I'm a "younger" smoker. That band has no real appeal to me. Looks like a cheap gimmick 1
Fireant Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Hater's gonna hate. Have a few of the other sizes, been waiting to fire one up.
