why do i get the impression that the majority of people do not like these cigars. anyway thats why i hear. whats your take on them for those who tried them ?

For me, right now they are smoking fantastic !!! creamy, dark chocolote and a cherry-raisin sweetnest !

beautifully balanced.

I tried 3-5 a few years ago and they were excellent! Same flavours you describe and some leather. Didn't have the $ at the time to get a box but should have.

When young, I found the Regalos to be strong, spicy and peppery, with cocoa notes.

Today, they have mellowed into what I describe as chocolate chip cookies with walnuts and cracked peppercorns.

Love them - despite the ugly wrappers ;)

actually, I've seen many '07 limited releases still available. like the Asian/pacific PL robustos. which are liked by many. I've got a box of those as well. great cigars.

I got some, but couldn't hold off on ageing any. They were really good smokes. I agree with Shrink's description of them when they were ROTT.....

Who doesn't like them?

Think they're amongst the best ELs recently.

And the Ingenios! Are we the only two who like them?

i'm curious, if they are still widely available and so good, why doesn't Rob keep any in stock ?

I'll have to give one of these a try soon. It's been a year or two since I smoked one. I've had a couple that were AMAZING, a few that were ok to decent, and the rest were mediocre to poor. Overfilling was a problem across several different boxes for me, and of the ones that did draw well, the blend seemed kind of inconsistent. One cigar would be creamy chocolate bliss then the next 3 would be generic leather and cedar.

You can't buy Swiss regionals here, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist.
