asmith Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 The boys try an aged Cohiba Robusto and find out why it is worth aging great cigars.
NMJoe Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Nice! I thought my hearing aide was acting up. Now, if I could only find an aged box... Good job, fellas! Cheers, JD
mk05 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Nice to have that box of Laguito coro. Question now is, do people actually prefer the Partagas CoRo to the Laguito?
NJP Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks again gents. Seriously Smithy they have been on L plates driving the remote for years.
SMQQKIN Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks for the review. Wish it was warm enough to smoke a Cohiba Robusto outside in the sun here.
Ken Gargett Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 smithy, i told him but, surprise, surprise, surprise, gomer ayala insisted that he had sorted it. part of that silence was us being highly amused at smithy having to "listen" to the sounds of silence and rob assuring us, no chance.
Colt45 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks guys. I've a March '08 box. Sampled a few - first fairly good, a couple after less so. I'll give another a go when weather allows.
Lotusguy Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I'm smoking a box now... I would recommend smoking the cigars instead Sorry, you left yourself wide open for that one - couldn't resist
Dbone Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Nice to have that box of Laguito coro. Question now is, do people actually prefer the Partagas CoRo to the Laguito? What is the difference besides the location?
dangolf18 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Well I have a box of '08 CoRo with factory code LSO (i'm assuming Partagas). The cigar is richer and less grassy than CoRo's I've had from El Laguito. Wrapper is also noticeably darker/redder. Perhaps that's just normal variation though...
NMJoe Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 What is the difference besides the location? ...and how can you tell which factory produced a particular box code? Was there a hard cutover date? Please excuse my ignorance on the issue.
