asmith Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 My have heard that there was a little bit of rain around Brisbane in the last week. Well while we were away for the weekend we returned to assess the damage. How the shop front once looked, now below is the new shop front. Please note the Monkey is still there. Could have been worse, surely the deck survived unscathed??? Remember the good times, remember how nice it was up there? Looks a little different now!
NMJoe Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What a shame! I look forward to seeing it put back to its original glory.
Joker Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 The main thing is that you are all safe. Look forward to Deck V2 Tony
Fuzz Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Looks like just after Havanathon... Hope the worst is over and the clean up goes quickly.
Munts Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Isnt the BBQ normally in that position after one of Rob's 'cooking' demonstrations?
Schumi5 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Wow, not the best Australia Day present. Glad to hear all are safe and hope the worst is behind you. Stay safe!
orangedog Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 a storm to perfectly cover Smithy's VB induced rage!
AndrewNR Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Not the BBQ! Atleast it dosn't look too terrible.. mainly a tidy up? We will rebuild! Glad your all safe
OZCUBAN Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What a shame,I guess it's pretty fixable at least the majority of it is still there ,I guess it's the number one priority now,I agree with Fuzz looked a bit like that Sunday morning after the Havanathon. At least everybody is safe that is the most important thing Take care Guys
asmith Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 I agree with Fuzz looked a bit like that Sunday morning after the Havanathon. No the office looked way worse after Havanathon 2012, I found a shetland pony in the humidor after that weekend.
Coolio Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I promise Hector and I did not leave it looking like that after New Years Eve! Well actually we did, but I came back the next day and cleaned it up!
Ken Gargett Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 it blew over a plant and shifted the curtains and that is it (the bbq is like that more often than not)? seriously? that is it? i've got a couple of hundred foot plus trees lying prone next to the house. and power out again. i do hope it didn't ruffle your skirt.

Cohiba Stevie Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Could have been worse... Glad everybody is ok.
Fuzz Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Could have been worse... Glad everybody is ok. True, the wine fridge could've been damaged.
Scdalak Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hey Nice job prepping the deck for the storm!!!!!!
riazp Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Could have been worst i guess! good luck with the rebuild
Orion21 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I have video of Smithy causing that "damage" while yelling . . . "DON'T INVITE ME TO TASTE THE MONTECRISTO GRAND RESERVA, EH!?!?! LOST MY CAMERA FOR THE 12TH TIME, TAKE THAT!!!" It goes on like that for about 2 more minutes before he kicked the BBQ over and hurt his toe
OZCUBAN Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 To be honest ,I thought it stood up well.I kind of expected it to be gone completely
First Lady Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Isnt the BBQ normally in that position after one of Rob's 'cooking' demonstrations? So very true LOLOL
khamy Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 No the office looked way worse after Havanathon 2012, I found a shetland pony in the humidor after that weekend. Nothing a bit of duck tape won't fix in a jiffy. Shetland pony??? i thought it was just Fuzz a bit under the weather.
