It is an American magazine with non Cuban cigar advertisers who pay the bills. If CCs dominated the ratings, it would certainly isolate readers from the US who we know cannot legally obtain or smoke Cubans. Simple politics.

I agree with Figaro, in the end its all about rewarding their advertisers...I actually agree more with CA's list that Cigar Journals list...something I thought I'd never say

Exactly. This is the core issue for CA. They have to cater to what their readers can buy and those who need justification for buying ad space.

When I consider all the cigars I smoked this year, I would say the best of the 2012 releases I smoked were almost all Cubans with the exception of this year's Opus X Reserva d'Chateau. Other than that, PSD4 H. Upmann made my favorite cigars this year.
