Had an excellent Sparkling Shiraz from Australia. A real eye opener. The bold richness of Shiraz with the softness of a Champagne. A little bit of Balvenie 15YO as well. Tonight at the in-laws a 2009 Sancerre to go with turkey. Maybe some Cognac afterwards. Sadly, no cigars.

Rum and Coke, with a gifted bottle to my Father-in-Law of Lamb's Navy Rum 151 Overproof. WOW! Rocket fuel. LOL.

Wine...white, Inniskillen Late Autumn Riesling 2010....reds, Henry of Pelham Baco Noir 2010...my two fav wines right now. Also, the dinner red wine at my in-laws was a Peller Estates Merlot 2011.

And the blender was a runnin', with lots of pina colodas being made, with HC Anejo 7 Anos. Great stuff. LOL.

Sippin' rum to finish things off...Ron Zacappa Centarrio 23.

T'was a good Christmas!

Last night we drank the following.

Bottega Prosecco

JW Double Black

Inniskillen Late Autumn Riesling 2011

2007 Tedeschi Amarone.

Perrier Joulet Champagne at midnight.

We almost made it to the 2001 Sauternes. :) I guess I can save that for another occasion.

Sparkling Shiraz can be a great match with turkey!

Last night went for dinner at my daughter's boyfriend's parents house (keep up ok?)

They presented us with this for the holidays:

Never had it before but looking forward to adding it to the winter line-up!

and which 01 sauternes? my fave vintage.

i made egg nog for the first time ever. from a recipe from garden and gun (don't start), thanks to rob S. sensational. but incredibly alcoholic. family would not go near it. most don't drink. so now i have the world's best, most alcoholic ice cream.
