stogieluver Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I've been a member here a little over one week. I have already placed two small orders of ten's, but I'm really fighting the extreme desire to place an order or two every day. I really can't afford the two orders I've placed and I haven't even recieved either one yet. I spent about $1000 USD on cc's in Cuba in early October and I'm running out of humidor space. I can already see the need to purchase a large aging humidor. My iglo cooler with kitty litter is looking like an option. I'm looking to you professionals for some help. I figure all of you who have hundreds and thousands of posts here have somehow learned to control your impulses, or you're all filthy rich. I tuned in to the Live From the Humidor tonight, and wanted everything offered. I'm but a poor underpaid, over worked banker, and I really need some help.
canadianbeaver Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Could be worse, could be crack. Could be worse, could be raining.
stogieluver Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 I can help with your storage problem. Just have the fine folks here ship all your orders to me and I'll "hold onto" them until you can find some room. A really nice guy, you are. It's all your fault. You could have called me off of this place.
CanuckSARTech Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 This isn't crack? Sorry, Stogie. Cheers and welcome also. But I'm no help for you here. Not sure if there's a cure. .....And I'm not sure I want to know about said cure either. I'm having too much fun being a sick, deranged, crazy man.
ptrthgr8 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 You know, admitting you have a problem is the first step. So props to you on that point. Next step is to sell some plasma or a kidney, or open a creative Kickstarter cause to help fund your CC addiction. You can do it! Cheers, ~ Greg ~ Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2.
BrotherBear Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'm a sick, deranged, crazy man. Yes you are! LOL

I'll run out of kidneys by the end of the year. Won't work long term.
SCgarman Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Hopefully your newfound "love" will not create marital or jealousy issues with the misses, LOL. This hobby is like most others-the more you buy, the more you want and no humidor will ever be "big enough". Also, the ceiling on your credit card will never be high enough! Cheers! John
Upmann2009 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Quiet (silent) is the key to your partner if you wanna stay in the game. I admit to my buying frenzy addiction, even I don't smoke all of them. Always say this is my last box but the list goes on. My experiences... What's yours? Peace
Fuzz Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'm but a poor underpaid, over worked banker, and I really need some help. You work in a bank? Problem solved! There's plenty of money all around you.... okay, it's not all yours, but if it's laying around somebody is bound to pick it up!
OZCUBAN Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I think you will need more than a professional LOL!there is no cure for what we have .. OZ
Hazza Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Yep, no cure. I put myself on a freeze til the new year because of Christmas etc. It's so bloody hard. Thought a month or two would be easy. I can't help but check out all the specials and LFTH and have to really put effort into holding back for now
Duxnutz Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Broke banker? Muahaha! Just kidding. Mobile, Alabama hey? I used to live in Dothan for a while...
Ophidion Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I still haven't found a method that keeps my spending from killing my Fubds but I have found that selling extra sticks and only using that money for new purchases is pretty effective.
PigFish Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 The problem is your attitude mate!!! I don't know if you are going to make it here!!! You see, when I drive down a parking aisle and all the cars are parked the opposite direction, I simply assume that none of those people know that they have pulled forward into a backward parking spot! The same rule applies here. This is a place for smokers. In the world around us, there lives a plethora of problems, which generally don't exist here. The problem, based on the aforementioned analysis, is that of a system outside of the realm of cigars. If you don't make enough money, I see that as a problem certainly. We have all been there. But the problem is not cigars. The problem is your job. Everything is a matter of perspective. Mine is correct!!!! Smoke a cigar, order another box from Rob, get your head on straight, man up and come back and start another thread! Cheers! Welcome to FoH. -the Pig
brazoseagle Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Buy everything in sight and "burn" the evidence!
maverickdrinker Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 buy what you can afford. Over time, your collection will grow. Do some trades. Will help you with variety. Enjoy the experience as it is really not about the cigars....
stogieluver Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 Thanks for all the good advice. I think I've got it now. Let's see...first of all there is no cure. Now that I've accepted that, then what I should do is man up, steal from my bank, sell a kidney, drive the wrong way down the parking aisle, don't tell my wife about my purchases, get a higher paying job, keep buying boxes from Rob, trade some, and let Shlomo store the rest for me. Sounds like the ticket to me! Thanks to all my new, good friends for your help and advice.
LeafLover Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Well done Grasshoper. Smoke in good health and enjoy.
