Ophidion Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Prelight Slightly oily wrapper somewhat bumpy but packed very nicely. Clipped the foot, prelight draw was very good and had a heavy flavor of dried fruit and tobacco with some sour notes. 1/3: Slight spice on the initial few draws which quickly fades. Main flavor profile is all dried fruit with some flowers and a nice sour note which is a great compliment to the slightly sweet dried fruit flavors. The burn and ash are spot on which has not generally been my experience with RASS. Usually I will get a wonky burn unless they are aged for at least two years. 2/3: Flavor intensity has picked up and is at a solid full instead of the medium-full from the first third. Burn and draw remain very consistent and the flavor profile is very much the same although the smoke is a little lighter in amount but much creamier than the first third. The spice has also completely diminished. 3/3: Once again the flavor intensity has picked up and the sour notes present in the first third have come back. Sour dried fruit and tobacco are at the forefront of the flavor spectrum with some peppering of floral notes which disappear as fast as they appear. BONUS ART SHOT Overall RASS is the first CC I smoked after having a montecristo no 3 about 12 years ago. It will always remain a staple in my humidor (I just ordered a cabinet to restock as I haven’t for a year now) and the reason is because of the flavor. RASS dont generally have the best burn or a fancy ash, but they constantly deliver intense flavors that aren’t replicated in any other marca.

dB69 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Thanks for all the nice reviews! You've been smoking some cigars today, haven't you. Cool!
Ophidion Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Today was just the first time I had a bit to type them up. Been smoking these since the competition was announced. Ill probably get another four or five more before its over.
mk05 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 That cigar can't be that old. It looks really new to me, Partagas factory '10 or '11 if I really want to extrapolate.
