Prelight:

Light caramel wrapper, slight oil cover and fairly spongy. The cold draw is firm with a little bit of nuttiness.

1/3:

First few puffs are very sweet with a large amount of nuts and grass. Further down the first third there is a bit of graham cracker thrown into the mix. The smoke is very creamy and coats the palate quite well. The predominant flavor of the cigar is roasted peanut. The burn is a little lopsided but the ash is strong and it requires very little in the way of touchups.

There really wasn’t much more to add. The flavor continued till the nub and except for a little increase in flavor intensity, it was a fairly consistent cigar in terms of flavors and intensity of those flavors. I have had some aged trini reyes that showed a little more evolution during the smoking process so hopefully they will get a little better with some maturity.

Overall:

Great cigar. I bought a few boxes during a recent sale for another vendor and I dont regret it at all. I have had some aged trini reyes before so I am looking forward to seeing how they come around in a few more months.
