El Presidente Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Regardless of Vitola. My nomination is the Partagas Serie De Conoisseur 01 People talk about chocolate but this was dripping. I am out so I have reverted to 03 stocks but they are not even close. This cigar needs 5 years.

shrink Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I was going to nominate the new Partagas P2, but I've gotta go with the crowd: the Serie du Conn No. 1 is outstanding!

Loki Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 I have to agree. I just got a box after sampling a few and they are truely decadent.
cf2112 Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 My 98's have been excellent and the 03's don't suck, but my best box of the year was/is some 02 RA 898's
Ken Gargett Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 i would hate to be predictable but i do keep going back to the slr dc's - just love them. but then a week ago, after a mate's birthday lunch, i pulled out a siglo vi each (he'd been typically generous with the wines - dom 96, a couple of chev-montrachets, some rousseau including an unbelievable 90 chambertin, a stunning 90 lafite, a decent 90 margaux, a good petrus 78 and a fab 67 yquem amongst others - it was a good day) as i thought he deserved something above average. don't know what it was but he decalred his as the best cigar he'd ever had, and we've shared some good ones, and mine was pretty close to the best i have ever had. it just sang.
harwellplant Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 i'll go with the psp2. a great offering, with results that lived up to the pre-release hype, even at a young age. i am really looking forward to seeing these first year releases get a few years on them.
Mel Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 You are right about it being Partagas. But the 00 Selecta Privada suits my taste more. The Toboada Double Pirimide is a real mans cigar, strong as death and makes a major impression on ones palate.
