buster Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Any of our brethren Down Under have the pleasure of making their way to the path of totality for the solar eclipse this morning? Maybe light up a stick under cover of darkness on the beach . I watched a few live streaming feeds from Cairns and Port Douglas. Really spectacular. I've got to travel to see one of these live someday before dementia sets in. Rick
Guest robustog Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I watched some streaming feeds as well. Would have loved to see it in person.
MatthewB Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Watched it from sunny cloud free townsville. We only had a 95% eclipse, but still totally amazing. The sun is still very bright for only 5%, never went very dark. A strange sense of dusk at dawn and east not west. Sadly, Im yet to find the desire to start smoking at 0600. A once in a lifetime opportunity missed perhaps... Worth chasing the next one near you.
