Bartolomeo Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Since 2010 I think its Upmann With age I will take Dip or VR Bart 1
AlohaStyle Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 No love for Bolivar? I'm a sucker for a good BBF. Of the list... if the Monte is on I would go with that but otherwise the VR.
Pilgrims Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 emotionally I love the SP Bellicoso too!! Voted for SP2 as the ones I have had (3 or 4) have been equally superb
winelover Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 No love for Bolivar? I'm a sucker for a good BBF. BBF is not technically a pirimade. Agree they are good though. PSP2s are good and can be great but I have often come across construction problems. For me , nothing beats a good monte 2
almudawi Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 H.Upmann No. 2 for consistency and profile Montecristo No. 2 (when they are on)
tdlfoto Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 H.Upmann No. 2 for consistency and profileMontecristo No. 2 (when they are on) My thoughts exactly
westg Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I will always have Monti 2's in my rotation. I have a box of Cohiba Piramide extra that I havn't smoked yet, they look and smell amazing. That said if I had to pick one from the six without seeing them, would go for the Monti 2.
Styler Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm surprised there isn't more love for the Unicos, that's my number one. Probably followed by the PSP2. I've just never had a Monty 2 that made me sit up and take notice, I'd love to understand what other see (or taste) in them.
Charltonc Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I have been enjoying a box of Diplomatico #2 from 08, but I think I would have to rate H. Upmann no. 2 as number one. Upmann equals good and consistent. I love them, but when a Monte 2 is on they are fantastic.
Sutton Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 SLR Pacifico ! Is my all time KIng But I would have to go : Monte 2 PSP 2 HUP 2 VR
IcedCanuck Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Every single PSP2 I have smoked has been bang on. Monte 2's seem to be a 50/50; when they are on they're fantastic but I have smoked too many that have sucked. The Unicos have always been solid for me as well. I have not tried an H.Upmaan No.2 yet but have heard nothing but good things ... perhaps I need to pick up a single or two.
bassman Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 MC#2 by far. VR Unico second. Never impressed by Diplo or Partagas & last memorable Upmann was from 2001.
Hamlon Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I've only tried a handful of monte 2s, but they all have been great. These plus one psp2 are the only Piramides I've had. Looks like I'm gonna have to get my hands on some of those upmans.. A Box of each would be great actually. Or two.
in0gravity Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 For me the clear winner is the Upmann No. 2 followed by the Vegas Robaina Unicos followed by the Partagas Serie P No. 2. Had two Cohiba Piramides Extra so far and they were completely different from one another. Need to smoke more to have a clearer picture on these. regards Lars
Lotusguy Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Monte #2 for me, no doubt. I should smoke one today but so many cigars, so little time
jazzbass Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Any one of the Piramides would taste great with the right amount of age under their belts but my money is on the Upmann, followed closely by the Unicos....
coug28 Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Premature to even have the CPE on this list IMO, yet it still has 7 votes...so whadda I know. Do I sense a deal coming perhaps? If quality and consistency are at all factors in this decision of top Piramide, as they are for me, Upmann 2 wins hands down. I do so love a good Monte 2, but the consistency just isn't there....but it does seem to be improving at least.
AlohaStyle Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 BBF is not technically a pirimade. Agree they are good though. You better tell Trevor then... http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.aspx?brand=Bol|ivar
winelover Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'd say the BBF, Sancho Panza Belicosos and the like are obviously pyrimid/ torpedo shape cigars but they measure shorter and are referred to as "campanas" or "belicosos" to distinguish them from regular pirimades. Just my 0.02
AlohaStyle Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Just joking around with ya brother, I understand what you're saying.

mbrody Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Based upon one sample, Cohiba PE. It was sublime.
