thecrowder
Swung by the local B&M today and picked up a single Monte 520 then went home and went on a nice run. I figured I should reward myself for running so I took this guy to flame. Some thoughts: * This is a big cigar. At a 55rg it is a bit too big for my liking * Can't deny that the cigar is visually awesome! A smooth dark brown wrapper that just begs to be smoked * I knew this cigar was probably a bit over humidified for my tastes, but I lit it anyway * First third, OMG what a great cigar. Cream and chocolate flavors everywhere. If it keeps up this will be a classic right now * Second third, yep it is too wet and has lost a lot of flavors and is getting harsh * Have to relight numerous times * Final third, still harsh and still requires relighting. I blame the humidity Overall thoughts: * First third was fantastic and if the rest of it improves with lower humidity than this cigar will be a winner * The RG is just too big and is uncomfortable * I will definitely pick up more and let them rest a bit
bobbutcher
I'd definately love to try these but not having a B&M where I live is making it hard to pick up a couple of singles.
polarbear
At $30 a stick I might grab one before I go for a whole box
MIKA27
I picked up a couple last Friday evening and wow, I love these! Kind of reminds me of the Montecristo Series D LE 2005 - The whole chocolate and ever so sweet/salty wrapper. Considering a box of these.
zappaFREAK
I have a couple of boxes of these. I broke into 1 and don't think it will last long. Love the flavor and richness of this cigar. Like a strong monte with more fullness. Highly recommend these sticks!!
Ibrahim
Got a box of those and smoked 2 to have a benchmark vs 2008 and 2010 LEs. I will not smoke any before they rest for another year. 2014 should be a good comeback Email: [email protected] Instagram: Cigarsdossier
brazilstogie
I have gone through a box of these, and to me they are not all that. My friends, however, love these.
canadianbeaver
We are on box #3. They are huge for us but if the weather is beautiful and it is our only cigar for the day or a couple of days, we love them. What I really like to do with them is gift one on special occasions to special friends. They go nuts.
Guybrush
Never had a really good Montecristo 520 and the one today was below average. Not sure how much age they need. The Montecristo Sublime 2008 is almost expired in my opinion.

fba
I love this cigare, since december 2012, I must have smoked 4/5 boxes of it and still hold 2 for aging. My overall impression is that : 3 boxes where astonishing (same code BRU ENE 11), the other range from very good to good. I never had a bad experience. After the Maravilla n°1, the n°3 is one my favorite. It is tasty, creamy, suaves. A very good montecristo (IMHO)

ErikB
I smoked my first at the 520 years Anniversary dinner in Habana last year when HSA launched the cigar ; it was a killer cigar which actually floored my friend..(it was a long night). Sadly the ones I tried after that were not as stellar , or had a tight draw..
Profmd
Have 2 boxes from Rob. Working on one right now and gonna let the second rest a bit. By far the best young right out of the box cigar I've had in a lot of years. Find them and you certainly can't go wrong!

Orion21
I'm going to pull one out this weekend after months of letting them rest. The first I smoked was stellar and the second was just ok. I laid them down thinking they were going sick. X3 on the MGE. They have developed into amazing cigars. Still a little light in the first third, but the last two thirds are very enjoyable.
