brazoseagle Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 The only time ill ever go to Starbucks is during the Fall when they release their Salted Caramel Mocha Coffee! One of the greatest drinks ever paired with a cigar!!!!! I'm serious, it goes awesome with a cigar. I mentioned it on the forum last year and I'll say it again, it's fantastic! Recommend - Trini's Reyes!
al321 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Know where I'll be going in the AM! What cigar pairs best?
Dbone Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I'm a Starbucks fan, but I prefer coffee flavored coffee. I look forward to the Anniversary Blend each year. Regardless, coffee and cigars are a match made in heaven. But for the sake of your topic, David, I'll grab a cup of Salted Caramel Mocha Coffee tomorrow AM probably with an Epi 2 and report back LOL
brazoseagle Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Know where I'll be going in the AM! What cigar pairs best? Trini Reyes!
al321 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Reyes it is...looking forward to my Saturday morning!
Vortigan Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I've just,in the last week, found it over here too.I believe it's the first time we've had it.at least where I live. And I couldn't agree more,it really is b-e-a-utiful! I've a feeling one of my three remaining Reyes will be meeting one this weekend! Thanks for the tip
IcedCanuck Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Thanks for the tip. A fellow BOTL gifted me a couple Trini Reyes from '07 a couple months back and I think I'll run down to StarF*cks Sunday morning with a Trini Reyes
tmac77 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Salted Caramel Mocha Coffee! Not being a coffee drinker myself I was wondering can you even order just a plain coffee anymore or only "double latte cream brule roasted oak aged bison bone mocha bomb" or other similar oddball concoctions ?
brazoseagle Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 I don't know, my favorite coffee is the 40 cent coffee at Whataburger that's been sitting for 8 hours. I only go to Starbucks maybe 3 times a year to get the salted caramel mocha. Once you try one with a cigar, you will be hooked!
westg Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Sounds good to me to. Pity no Starbucks here in Club Med Mandurah. Have some Trini reyes though so a couple of take away flat whites and drive around the beach for me this morn. Biggest boat show in the southern hemisphere here this weekend so safe to say some larger formats will be fired up as the day progresses.
sighuber Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Smoking an HQ Reyes right now and polishing off a bottle of Veuve Cliqcuot...nice pairing after a dinner of grilled halibut and asparagus! What a nice Friday night after a really tough week. I may head over to Starbucks tmw and give that coffee a try...along with another Reyes!
mbrody Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 My preference for a coffee cigar is the Siglo I. As soon as I get over this head cold, I will find a Salty Whatchamacallit from starbucks and see how it pairs...
nikesupremedunk Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I was looking to spend my remaining starbucks giftcard so I will definitely try this out...
BatFastard Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Gave this combo a shot this morning and was not disappointed at all! Great call David! Paired with a BRC from ABR 10. Stellar duo. Will definitely be trying it again. I think next time I'll go PLPC.
perfectform Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Tried it the other night with an 07 small club. Was fantastic. Thanks for the headsup.
al321 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Tried it Saturday morning with a Reyes...hit the spot. Thanks David!
Charltonc Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I always get a triple shot of espresso, no sugar no creme.
Rushman Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I'm spoiled. My shop in Playa is a mere steps away from Ah Cacao chocolate coffee shop. I'm not a huge coffee fan but my wife is. When I need a dbl espresso it's there for me. When I need an iced or hot tea, they can do that too. In the states I preferred Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf when I was in SoCal. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631725,-87.070654
